The 'four week pass' argument is stupid. Yes, the night one eviction he was invulnerable from. But that was the second ever seventeen-person cast; and in the previous one it was the twin twist in 17. That was a 5 week pass. In every night one eviction, all the vets have been safe, (except Nicole, but even that was a guaranteed only 1/4 people). And, in every season that wasn't all-stars where the vets were players on night 1, they ended up with the first HoH. EXCEPT paul. (11 was rigged to have that and there was no smart reason not to do it in 18). So giving him those two weeks was fair by common law. The next week, he won HoH. After that; the last week of the Pendant, his ally won HoH. There was nothing that the power did except treat him like every other person who had come back since all-stars. The only thing here is that he wasn't twisted out.

he knew how to get to the final 2 but didn't understand how to win, that's the problem. he didn't know what to do with jury at all and that's partly because he never watched the show and has never been to the jury house. he doesn't understand the mindset of the jury and how to combat that. plus, making f2 with everyone is going to bite you, it's like being a cheater and all your side men/women getting together and talking and figuring out stuff. he needed to learn how to get to final 2 without that type of game play. derrick (and yes i understand his style was boring) is the best modern bb player because he knew how to balance bitter jury and being behind the scenes on everything and get's loyalty points for making a pact with cody and staying loyal. derrick is the example of how to be a 'mastermind' player and be cool with jury.

"Nowadays"? Juries have been bitter since the get go. The jury was bitter against Nicole in BB2, the jury was bitter against Danielle in BB3, jury is bitter against Alison in BB4 and so on. Bitter juries have always been a thing. But only the best players can get them to vote for them. Derrick and Dan did it because they recognized that treating the juries with respect will gain respect. Paul and Tyler made fatal errors in their gameplay. Social game has always been important. This started a social experiment and it will end as one. Accept it. Paul and Tyler aren't as great as people make them out to be.

Goldielucks 35 You miss the point. The point was that juries have always been bitter, you just don't agree with their decisions lately. Tyler was playing an exceptional game pre-jury, but post-jury is when his game started going downhill. He severely underestimated the anger the jury would have for him and that's his mistake. He should've known better. But, personally, I think his showmance with Angela made him lose focus. He only has himself to blame for losing. I saw a mile away that if he went to the end with Kaycee, he'd lose. Then again, it's not like he had much of a choice since Kaycee won out all those comps. But judging from his DRs, he'd have taken her anyway. As much as we'd all love to have juries vote for the "mastermind" without question, the reality is, it's never going to be like that all the time. Juries are always going to vote however way they want. Anyone can control the house, but the best of the best can do all that and still get the jury to vote for them like Dan and Derrick. The system isn't broken, you just don't agree with it.
