Great video once again! I've been enjoying your amazing videos for about a year now, but your message today was the kick in the pants I needed to join you on Patreon. I have had many, many happy days on Alberta trout rivers and streams in the past and while I no longer live near those waters, I get to fish them again in my head every time you folks post a new video.

Thank you for this note :) And it's great to hear. We hear from a LOT of people that they've learned so much and enjoyed our videos... yet we barely break even for 5 days of work, so it's great when we hear dedication to support from folks like you. Thank you. Dave

Been there and done it. Actually caught a 10lb Salmon there. Freaked me out when I saw this big black mouth open up an inhale my fly. Pig Trough, slept there one night. Good work, love your vids. Cheers mate

It can be a wonderful bit of water or a barren wasteland depending on how hot & dry the drought gets to be. Gorgeous country! :)

I enjoy your videos Team. Is that the dreaded Diddimo weed infesting this lovely stream? Really enjoy your spotting commentary. Clean lines Team. 😉 Ooops! Tight Lines

Oh, yeah. It's in there solid for 12 yrs anyway. Didymo's a funny bugger by now. It has to be laying in wait in most waters now, about waiting for continued habitat changes due to floods, drought, ag withdrawals and other. Funny how a minor flip of a switch in habitat comes it opens streams to new things - not always good ones. But, the fish continue... for now :)

What happens to the trout during the hot summer months that the fishing isn't good? Do the trout migrate into a lake or does the stream get too weedy?

As we discuss in the write up to the video and in the video, this is a snippet of the whole production as available at our digital membership, where we share the full video and the producers' notes... www.patreon.com/jensenflyfishing/about Trout can move to springs, move to larger/deeper water and flows or simply shut down, glued to a rock for weeks on end. We look at specifically that in the full version of this video at the link. Cheers.
