This video gives me a massive boost of faith in humanity. I’m 40 having my first child in 4 weeks and I hope to someday have this experience, been thinking of it since my late 20’s when I almost lost my father. The scare brought me back to my childhood waiting for pa to come back home and tell me it’s time to go get the lantern. My wife a non hunter from no hunters has always been supportive but didn’t quite understand the whole meaning behind hunting. I shared this video and she was in tears by the end of it. She hugged and kissed me and said I get it now…I can see it in this family. Your family is clearly composed of amazing souls spanning multiple generations. I've seen hundreds, if not thousands, of traditional archery hunting videos by now and I believe this is the best I've ever seen. Not in video quality but the wholesomeness of the content and I'm not sure a better video could be made. I love how the entire family was involved. That buck is more important, among things that matter in life, than a new world record. This is the kind of buck that should face the front cover of a major hunting magazine, because it is what hunting is really all about. I am so weary of the hunting personalities who hire, in one way or another, every aspect of the hunt and then move in for the shot. Love what you've shared.

What a great video! I watched my youngest son make his first bowkill at the age of ten and a couple of weeks ago, the now 22 year old, called me from the stand 2 minutes after arrowing a buck that green grossed 163 3/4 ". It's so awesome that hunting and fishing is something that you all enjoy as a family! Love it!!!!!

Brought a tear to my eye remembering having my 2 little girls on the hunts in the blind with me. They were my 'deer spotter experts'! We talked about all the animals we'd see. Red Tail hawks hunting field mice and rabbits, geese migrating, finches, woodpeckers and squirrels, on and on... They'd help me track, then pick through the gut-pile asking what each organ was and what 'it did' ! LMBO!!!

Great video, and buck. My grandpa passed suddenly last year. I used to call him after every deer I shot. Now my 8 year old son shot his first deer this past weekend, and I wanted nothing more than to call Paw Paw to tell him. He would've been so proud. I started hunting(bow & gun) when I was 12 with my dad and pap-pap. They have both passed on and now I hunt with my sons and one grandson who just turned 6 (he sits with me though hunting isn't always the priority, just time together is). I know my body isn't going to let me hunt much longer and I will only be left with memories and listening to my sons & grandson's stories. I truly cherish all of it. Bear Kodiak ... it sounded familiar, I went and checked, I have one, never hunted with it, guy in our Archery club passed and going through he stuff for his wife, several recurve bows were there and almost all of us shot compound, but somehow I ended up with it ... will have to pull it out and practice and use it for at least one deer ... great video ... ty
