Jim Karpowicz did a video on my deer for Bass Pro Shops 'King of Bucks' some years back and it showed on the Outdoor channel. I was able to tell the background of this hunt in pretty good detail. Most of the written articles got some facts wrong and I quit giving interviews until Jim came and did the video. Tim Lilly did the best written article I've seen for a mid-west magazine published by N.A.W. Keith Sexton KDWP was the original scorer and it was a much lower score but still was enough to be the state record. Later it was panel scored and went up to the 280 4/8. After I shot this deer I tried to just count the points, I'd get lost around 25... That's when I left to get my dad to help field dress it. We thought it's rack looked like a brush pile so that is it's real nick name, the 'brush pile buck' , I have never heard it called the turkey foot buck but I could see why some may use that term. JW
