You would hope the buck with the deformed antlers would shed them and he'd be rid of that awfully uncomfortable imbalance. You can CLEARLY see the buck sort of shake/turn it's head to the side where the deformed antlers are growing. I hope to goodness that buck can shed those antlers and grow a balanced pair that won't be such a problem for him.

I always get the biggest kick watching Forrest with his growing antlers trying to get his head down in the food bucket. I’m sure he misses Chris feeding him the grapes from her loving hands. years ago a buck that was part of a heard our friends had in captivity beat up the owners wife during the rut. She tried to climb the fence and it tore her jeans with its antlers and put 1 inch holes in the back of her legs. It knocked her to the ground and bruised her all over with its hoofs. Luckily while on the ground she was able to climb under the fence and she got away but had to go to the emergency room for a few stitches.

Jim, yesterday my husband and I were driving down a street in our neighborhood that actually has a sign that says "CAUTION DUCK CROSSING" there's a pond on the other side of the street so they're constantly going back and forth. About 70 of them were roosting on the grass and all of a sudden a small herd of deer came through the trees and started eating the grass. In a mass, the ducks charged the deer! All of sudden the deer started jumping up and down, the babies started doing zoomies all around the ducks!! Lol The ducks just swarmed them lol!!!! My husband and I were cracking up in disbelief!! It was sooooo funny!! Is this normal or are the duck protecting their turf? Or are they just nuts? You should have seen it. Unfortunately we didn't record it bc we were struck with what the heck are we witnessing?

Ducks and geese are quite territorial (even making great gaurd dogs; despite being geese or duck) and in their numbers likely felt confident to chase off the deer from their territory. Amazing story! Doesn't surprise me duck's would do that, but it does surprise me the deer didn't push back more.
