Is ivory still illegal to harvest? Like if you got an elephant could you keep the tusks? Unfortunate the rhinos have been slammed so hard that they cannot be conservatively hunted.

It depends in which region for both Elephant and Rhino. There are certain pockets that are affected by poaching and others that are not.

I love to hunt and I've always wanted to go to Africa for dangerous game. But I've never understood why anyone would want to shoot a giraffe or wth you'd do with him after killing him. As a source of tribal meat for all of the protein starved africans isn't a very good reason when there are so many other choices such as crocs, hippo and mbogo.

Killing the poor giraffe is cold blooded murder.they are harmless and are so easy to shoot that you don't need to make it a big issue. Try the big five . You are simply trying to extort money from the excited hunters.

They are actually not harmless. I have been charged by a bull while driving around with my quad bike. I also know of times people have been killed by giraffe. However, they are absolutely beautiful and I also don't like to see them being hunt.
