I've started to read Col. Boddington from the first numero of Rifle Shooter. He's a great man. My n.1 teacher about reloading, tecnique, all. Respect, Sir.

Hello to all! Thrilled to find The Boddington Hunt and the renowned, spectacular Craig Boddington! So knowledgeable and love his methodical teaching! I want to learn Big Game Hunting in Africa, with much interest in Buffalo, possibly lion. I'm a native Texan and been hunting deer for generations but i want to go Big with Safari! God Bless America!

We've both got 416's, let's see what they do... They kick! A buffalo taken with irons, indeed, as good as it gets and that 2014 Rigby 416 is a thing of beauty. Great video!

They kill what's in front of it, and maim what's behind it.

@@Sporkmaker5150 Yeah, that looked like a good jolt to the shoulder. My M70 in 375H&H is about as much as I want to deal with. My rifle weighs enough to reduce the recoil to a sturdy shove, much like a 1911/45ACP when compared to a Magnum revolver. Those 416's are beautiful rifles to be sure.

Perfect, it shows you that you don't have shoot a Buffalo 10 times before it goes down. Excellent hunting.

Excellent adventure! The .416 Rigby is my favorite for Buffalo in a bolt action.

@ 11:33 wow what a bull. What a dream hunt. I’d rather hunt Dugga boys but if I had an opportunity to hunt the herd, this would be the way to do it. I can’t get over the thickness that Carries all the way through & he’s super wide great bosses too. A smasher

Nice to see somebody earn their buffalo, and great to see with traditional open sights !.
@nothanks35905 жыл бұрын
following a professional hunter and trackers around and shooting when and how they tell you to shoot isn't earning anything. why not just go to the farm down the road and shoot a cow. basically the same thing. and of course the old asshole couldn't even make a proper shot from 50m. this isn't hunting.

Nice to see the occasional great shot on buffalo. Too many videos are a marathon of 6 - 10 shots before finally putting them down.
@boarzwid10022 жыл бұрын
Comparing the original Rigby to the new Rigby I noticed that Boddington,s recoiled straight back with less muzzle jump as compared to the original most likely due to improvement in stock geometry.

This is really not the best advertisement for hunting. I appreciate that there's usually a bigger story to tell, but this doesn't come across in a short video. Instead, we see people of a certain age are using iron sights to shoot 100+ yards (and wound in the first case), plus shoot from a car. Discretion should be used before posting such things - it comes round to bite the rest of us.

Well, having his trips recorded for TV ensures he is always given the best trophies to shoot. Never seen CB take smaller than a 40" buffalo. As most taken today are around 36-38", IMO there's more than luck to his success, they must stake out, weeks beforehand, the herds and area were the biggest buffalo are. Also, the bugger has never responded to any issues I've encountered in hunting - some ambassador if he couldn't be bothered replying!! And remember, he only pulled his finger out and did something for that beater his daughter shot on her leopard hunt, AFTER online AH members roundly critised him for not taking a proactive role for the accident and doing the right thing at the time of the incident. Again, some "ambassador".
