Decorator's tip: When using a small paint can, stretch a rubber band - top to bottom so the the top of the band bisects the circumference of the open end of the can. Wipe surplus paint from your brushes on the rubber band. Then you don't get all that spill off down the sides of the can. Simples!

Oh Sawyers smile and laugh just tickle me to my toes! He is so adorable and happy. Crusoe is really growing fast now Tara, a little boy and not so much baby left. They are delightful little boys who will love and nurture that beautiful land under your loving guidance. I’ve loved every thing you have done and am excited to see how the new house will develop and look. If you Can do it, don’t go small…make your rooms large and airy. Those boys are going to be big before you know it and they require room! The bedrooms can be on the smaller size but the living spaces should be as big as you can go for comfort. Good afternoon from Colorado! You are having the same sort of weather we're having here. I call it yoyo weather. One day it's sunny and warm, the next it's cold and blah. Colorado is known for it's sunshine, even if it's only 5°! Freaky! John, your path is wonderful! Your property is becoming more and more attractive every day! Are they going to knock down the "not garage"? I don't think the hobbit house is going to provide enough storage room. The best thing about children and their adventures is that kids are washable. If u dampen your brush or mist wood, easier to move paint on rougher wood. I do this on rough sewn n pallet wood.

Hello folks, watching John making that path is amazing, his masonry skills are a real credit to him, I know because I've done the same and finding just the right slab of stone isn't easy. I’m so excited for the boys to get their own room!! Will be glorious they each have a toy box made by John (drilled breathing holes in the back) Would be so cool to have a hidden room (maybe loft) for the boys to climb into and have a “dungeon” with hiding spots … ohhh so much for the boys to look forward to! Oscuro= dark. 😉 I know excatly what you mean. With my oldest son I was always worried about him making himself a mess. But he was a child. Messes are the norm. With my second son, he had play clothes and shoes that he could muddy, paint and just have fun in. I learned to buy second hand for most of the play clothes and then buy nicer pieces for when we went to church or other outings.
