I know you film months in advance and I think it’s one reason that keeps you guys going and not getting burnt out. As a viewer, I wish when you load the location and show on the screen that you would include the month and year… It would make it more understandable when it comes to the season, etc.

They probably don’t pay to artificially boost their channel. Family first and if that means I don’t see it in real time, so be it. I interpret as they’re not banking on followers for their livelihood. Not to say I don’t love the other channels less, it’s just that I perceive FOS as more genuine and organic.

If you’re ever running up I-81 in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley you might want to check out Natural Chimneys Park and Campground. We stay on the D loop when we’re there. Sites are mostly power and water only but the nearby chimneys are a site to see. Plus you’re close to the Harrisonburg and Staunton areas to explore.

OMG! That site! 😍 I’m probably not going to get much love for this take, but my go to lately is 1/2 inch top sirloin, brushed with olive oil and steak spice, at 400 for 7 minutes in the air fryer. Yup. I said it. Air fryer. Perfect medium rare every time. Judge me if you will, but I love those steaks. 🥩 😋

Have you ever been to Stone Mountain just east of Atlanta? That one of our favorites. And then there is Dark Sky RV Park in Kinabalu, UT. So fantastic, but for much different reasons. Just about the best night sky we’ve experienced. And the owners are wonderful people. They host an all camp dinner on Thursday nights.

What you just said, slow down. That is why my bride and I travel like nomads since we retired. Like our last trip. We do not RV, we stay at hotels along the way. Just a small travel plan of our route. No having to get from point A to point B. Do a lot of travel planning along the way. See something and want to stop, just stop and see it. Head towards the next possible stop the next morning, something comes up just stop. Bride got VERY good at finding places to spend the night on the fly. No set time schedule, wing it. Want to rest for a day, just stop. Some of our best adventures just popped up along the way. Like the Mark Twain house. We were coming into the city and my bride screams out, Mark Twain house we have to go. I rolled my eyes a tad but said ok. Had no plans before to stop in that city. We spent the night and went the next day. Was one our best stops, that place was nothing short of amazing. So much to see in this country. Slow down and enjoy it. I get we are retired and have the time. When we worked for a living and had 1 week vacations it was harder to slow down and smell all the roses. Case in point. When we were at the Air Force Museum in Ohio, 10 minutes away from the Wright Brothers bicycle shop. That place was so massive it took us all day to go through because we love history. We read everything. You could tell the families on a time schedule, them and the kids would look at a plane and move on. Never read anything. Felt sorry for the kids that they were seeing history but do not learn anything. One of the things I admire about both of you is you are teaching your children on the road but you are also letting them experience life and history together, not just through a book. They are very lucky. Even if they do not know it now. I understand the whole high school stuff, friends. Most people do not keep up with high school friends. The RV community you are involved with sounds more like friends they will have for life over high school. Love seeing you and your family grow. Love watching your channel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am only in a 26ft trailer, so I don't have the capacity you do. I just can't cook a good steak on my Blackstone. That's like getting steak and eggs at Waffle house at 4 am after the clubs. Give me wood, pellets or lump first! That site you are on will now be booked for years and years. Thanks lol! Love your channel.

Did you have the 17 inch Blackstone with the single burner? I had the same problem with that one. I switched to the 2 burner 22, it gets super hot. I love cooking on anything though! I hope I didn’t ruin that spot. I think the flash flood warnings will scare most off🫣😂

My Blackstone doesn’t get hot enough to get that sere on steak that I like. So I use the fire. The propane stove will heat a cast iron skillet hot enough to sere. Even yours weren’t charred enough. You could, just like me without the other site’s occupied. You have very similar maneuverability as me. We’re almost 36ft but that includes the tongue, we both probably tow the exact length. The true determining factor is the distance between the rear truck axle and the first axle of the trailer. So basically if hight wasn’t an issue(we’re 11ft 8inches) , if I can get there you probably can too.
