For your cruise, consider zip-lining in Skagway. There’s a zip-line there on top of a mountain that you have to take these giant Russian military vehicles to get there. And, you zip-line over these beautiful streams through the forest. It’s breath-taking. My wife and I have zip-lined all over the US, and we still talk about Skagway. And, since it’s an extra safe double zip-line, they let you do some crazy stuff while you’re zipping. The guides were wonderful. Highly recommend!

We put our 42' Motorhome and a four-door pickup on several ferry boats. You have us beat on this one! We took up 70+ feet, but looks like Y'all may have had more fun. Live your life to the fullest! I just got some crappy news, But I will not let cancer stop me. My wife and I Will Be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary on April 5th!!! Love you guys!!!! Enjoy everyday!

We had to back our 36' DP onto the ferry in AK. That was an adventure. One shot and no issues. Do not look where you are going, only watch the man walking outside direct you with hand signals. Insane.😮

Those ferry staff are true experts. They got our 30' 5th wheel in and out without issue. I was at the wheel, but they told me exactly what to do! The weather was pretty wet then too.

When we moved up to Alaska for hubby's job, his company moved us up on the ferry (hauling our 5th wheel), and after spending 7yrs in Alaska, we moved back to the lower 48, on the ferry. It was 6 days one way on the ferry to Bellingham. We had driven the ALCAN so many times while we were living in the far north that I insisted we take the ferry back. Ahhh...the memories of our years in Alaska! I still miss that beautiful state and all the memories and friends we made there.

You mentioned September Iceland. We were there last September and had fabulous weather. But we went East and around the Ring road in our camper van and chased the storm where others were in the storm going from west to east. Iceland, after traveling to all, seven continents was our absolute favorite adventure yet.

An incredible stop just north of Haines is the Steve Kroschel Wildlife Center. He's worked with lots of filmmakers to create some fantastic footage, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Alaska. I hope that the weather cleared up for you when you drove north from Skagway. That drive is one of our most favorites anywhere!
@FindingOurSomeday4 күн бұрын
I hadn’t heard of that wildlife center! I’ll have to look it up, thank you! The weather cleared just after getting to Skagway, beautiful drive out of there. Look for it next week !

Another amazing video. We learned a few things in Alaska. One is that all Bald Eagles, male and female have the white head. The ones not white are under 5 years old. We enjoyed our time in Skagway and rode the White Pass Railroad up to the Yukon to the suspension bridge. It was an awesome ride. You have made us want to go back again.

We camped in Skagway and while there took the ferry down to Juneau for 2 nights. Some people told us how terrible the grade was doing down into Skagway but we had no trouble going down and back up up with our Ford F150 and 24' travel trailer. The town is definitely a can't miss.

In May, I’ll be taking my travel trailer in two places you’ve warned me about, McCarthy and this ferry. If it results in disaster, I can never say I wasn’t warned.
@FindingOurSomeday4 күн бұрын
The warnings are just so you are away! McCarthy and Haines were 2 of our favorite stops on this trip to Alaska and we hope you enjoy them just as much as we did! WE definitely recommend taking the ferry and thought it was a great experience, but just wanted you to be aware that you need to go slow, listen to your parkers, and that you can't stay in your RV while at sea! Thank you so much for joining us tonight!

For in camper recording try the hollyland M2 wireless with noise cancelation. its been great for killing music over the loudspeakers for my workout videos, mics are small and magnetic. Battery life on them is great. Loved all your Alaska content, enjoy

I’ll look into those! I think we have since solved it (as long as we use them 🫣) we have the DJI wireless mics and the DJI Action 5 and they will now both sync up together, before it was only one at a time. Stoked to hear you’re liking the Alaska stuff . We head down back into Canada next week!
