I think it doesn’t go far enough. Should have been to a point where people won’t risk it. We still see people on the phone texting etc even now. We lost our first camper 5 years ago when a driver wrote it off as he was on his phone texting whilst driving.

I myself was crashed into and ended up in hospital years ago after the idiot behind me was on his phone and not paying attention, it left me with two slipped discs and a back that a 90 year old wouldn't thank you for so I agree, from Emma.

Vibration lined my front doors,MDF mounts ,took 16 cm speakers out, put in 13 woofer&tweeters, sound much better, bass not muddy now, nicely defined.

Totally agree with the new phone laws. But I do question why it's not OK to use a phone for us. But it's fine for some rozza on blues n twos with one hand on the steering wheel and the other using his or her radio on their collor. To me that's just as dangerous if not more. Were not the ones doing high speed chases.

up to 11.49 is where i paused this when the good lady said there had been a massive uptake in accidents: I can 100% shed light on this comment, my neighbour is a traffic officer, he and his wife do the same job but different parts of the Motorway around staffordshire and into Birmingham, and both have said they are so busy on every shift with car crashes, people having heart attacks at the wheel and end up crashing, the other thing that is on the up take what they said was jumpers - people jumping off motorway bridges committing suicide, and the only thing that seems to be linked with all these crashes is people who have had the vaccine - just saying what i was told by two people who do the same job but in different areas and both experiencing the same thing thats not being reported on the main news.

There is so much BS Surrounding of the vaccinated and non vaccinated it’s getting boring hearing it all . @@UrbanVanlife No your wrong there. I had the vaccine and it made me go by a speed camera five over the limit, I’ve started fly tipping as well, that’s 100% the vaccine your honour. Bloke down the pub told me. He had his first jab and then he got caught housebreaking! It’s all true! Seriously though, even having a conversational chat hands free affects your concentration where talking to a passenger doesn’t take nearly as much away from your driving ability.

Watch out for the unmarked HGV tractor unit too, it's used along the M60/62, A55 and M6, mainly to monitor and catch other HGV users using phones etc, but they are in contact with fellow officers in other unmarked vehicles as well as traffic cops on the motorways. and unmarked motorbikes to, rule of thumb, don't be dumb, and stay off your phones while in the car.

I am not surprised they are clamping down as I watched a woman drive past my house on a main road which is an emergency service vehicle main route and she was driving a big range rover whilst texting on her phone and not even watching where she was going.

The U.S. has had similar laws to varying extremes of these laws with fines up to $1,000 usd depending on where you are for violations for the better part of 15 years now. My wife says Bulgaria has had similar laws for over 10 years.

Interesting the difference in the amount of the fine, the law has been in place over here for some time, however due to a technically of how the wording of the legislation was written it has been changed to cover all use of a mobile phone now, so maybe people may just think a bit more whilst in control of a vehicle

It’s great but a bit well very expensive you can get a voice control hands free for your phone for about £30 so you don’t break the law answering your phone while driving at this time with everything going up a lot of people will be struggling to put fuel in there tanks

Hi Both.. Great upgrade.. LOVE IT.. I will be having one in my van soon.. Just a NOTE.. You said you are putting it on a switch so you can use it off house battery..? I did that and near set fire to it..? I used a switch and then forgot to turn it off before I started the van, the power back feed and it and acted as if it was like jump leads and melted the wire.. I then put an ON/ON switch so that it auto cuts off power from either battery.. Just didn't want you to make my mistake.. xxxx

The way I read that first paragraph of the new regs it reads like the new regs only apply to using your phone on a motorcycle. I think a revision of the punctuation could be in order. 😆 But I absolutely agree that no one should be using their mobile phone while driving although where I live these new laws don't seem to have got through to some drivers yet!

There’s always a reason for how the laws are written and the style they are written in, mainly so they can be interpreted a certain way when the time permits, clear but vague in some cases!! Hopefully though this will make people be more vigilant whilst driving and keep their eyes on the road more.

I just did mine.. got a nice eonon Q03 android unit for mine....it was a total PITA to fit due to needing to match non matching colour cables.Not tomention new fascia and steering wheel control cambus....and that was before struggling to fit the reversing camera to the radio. I decided not to upgrade my speakers until I get over fitting the radio.......it may be some time lol.....I wont mention the trauma of setting up Android Auto......

Well Kenny that was quite the experience you had yourself there, and we do not blame you for waiting and regrouping before you do your speakers! We where very lucky with ours as it was basically just plug and play with a couple of tweaks, the speakers will be easier though we are sure…. You’ve got this!!! ✊✊👍👍💪

I don’t think fines and points a adequate for using phones while driving. The should be a driving ban.

The problem is where do you stop . You can do 56mph in a 30 zone but get 3 points for speeding . But press a phone screen and get 6 points . Which is worse . Granted for use in your phone for texting and calls is worth 6 points but with so many things in a car to press . Dose cancelling a call warrant 6 points if so then surly turning heating on from a button would as well .

I upgraded my phone for a more recent one at Christmas, and it has yet to leave the kitchen table much like my last one. As a frequent front seat user I am alarmed at the number of folk that use their phone at high speed, but they also use it at low speed around the town and I've yet to decide which is the worst. I was given a pager pre mobiles and on day three of having one it was launched out of the window on the M4 heading for London at some unnatural hour of the morning. No I am not available at your beck and call unless I'm in a suitable place and then I don't mind if it's an Indian scammer.

The blinds in the cab where a silly price for what they are, but we wouldn’t be without them now we have them, just wish there were more of a reasonable price! The power bank give away is only on Thursday so you never know you could win one!!! And the bloopers to be fair the amount of bloopers we make we could probably set up another channel just for them 😂😂😂

Hello and first things first thank you so much for having been with us for so long it really does mean a lot to both of us, because without people like yourself we wouldn't have the wonderful community that we have! Secondly thank you so much for your extremely kind words, we both believe in trying to help where we can, obviously sometimes life is busy, work is tough and getting balance is hard, but we do believe that if you can help someone do it as you never know what is happening in someones life to get them to the point they are at! As for young Will, we had previously met him several times and got on so well with him as he's a genuine good soul, we saw he was just having a point in time where the build was getting to him as you will know yourself when you are doing these things on your own sometimes it can get overwhelming, so we had to go and lend a hand and just remind him that he's totally capable of doing it!!! Hi did you fit the switch for head unit? I was going to do that but couldn't find out if the unit power is taken from the permanent live or switched live. I know you take a live from leisure battery to the switched on unit but is the the one that actually power's it?

Ok so The unit had a permanent live and then the csnbus system got a feed when the keys whent in to the ignition allowing it to turn on . What I did was cut the main 12v feed to the stereo and give it a feed from the leisure . But then I piggy backed off that to a swich then to the freed that the can bus box gets off the ignition . So it still activates like normal when I put the key in the ignition . But when we are parked up I can flick the swich giving the canbus a 12v supply off the leisure . Allowing the stereo to come on Hope Iv explained that bud . If not grab me on insta and I can talk more about it if your stuck .

Hi guys just watched your video on the rules it might be worth your while looking at a KZbin channel black belt barrister you can actually use your phone but you're not allowed to actually have in your hand so it's the rules are you can use the phone in the cradle but you can still be done for undue care and attention which is what they probably do you for cos if your word against theirs so yeah anyway that belt barrister might be worth a look

Hi ya Cyril, Emma already watches him she loves his channel 😂😂, for us it’s just better to eliminate the phone altogether just to be on the safe side as you can never be too careful, and it’s now Emma’s job to navigate the sat nav 😬😬 As well our old system wasn’t working for us anymore so it all just came at the right time for us to upgrade!

True if the driver is using it, but the changes in the law have come from someone winning an appeal on a technicality of how the legislation was previously written, however Neil won’t be using the stereo whilst driving so for us it’s going to be safer as I can sort the sat nav on the unit and Neil doesn’t have to us Google maps on his phone anymore.
