Hi Chris. For large Motorhomes I would seriously recommend parking sensors and a 360 degree camera system. It isn’t cheap but I thought the cost would mitigate the repair costs in case of an accident and provide evidence in the event of a collision. There are several companies that do it. I had mine fitted to my 8m Motorhome by Motorhome Retrofits and can highly recommend them. The 10in screen in the cab is great for rear and side views, especially if your Motorhome doesn’t have a rear view mirror. Also, would air suspension provide a smoother ride and stop some of those rattles?

Hi Chris just a big thank you bought both your books the NC500 Improved and the Ultimate Scottish road trip and used both for our trip from Hampshire in September. We took what we wanted from both books and added a bit of our own intinery and had a fantastic time. Weather was glorious and 1500 miles later we are still talking about it. First time we took our 6 month old puppy as well so a great trip for her. Keep up the great work and podcasts etc. cheers again Dave and Annette. 👍

Nice electric setup - as you say game changing. Pleased you got your van sorted - always handy to know local places too :) Nice to chat to you at the show. Looks like everything is coming nicely together for you. All the very best, David 👍

One potential improvement for the van is a set of carpets. They really reduce the noise and especially in winter act as additional insulation, as the floor will get cold. Just make sure to get the automotive spec carpets which have a hard base and more flame retardant than a normal domestic carpet. You do need a local carpet company that can do the overlocking, and have maybe 3 or 4 pieces that can easily be removed for cleaning.

Sorry to learn about your mishap, Chris ☹ That’s one of the reasons why we sold our moho and bought a campervan (7.4m long and wider than a van wasn’t ideal in the remoter parts of Scotland, the Lake District and Northumberland that we tend to visit). Miss the interior space a bit though!

Oh Chris I feel for you pranging the new MoHo - I’m picking up our new one this morning after having had a camper van for the last 18 months and the extra length/width is the thing worrying me most! Those blumin bollards everywhere …. I lost a Mondeo bumper to one of those a few years back! 😂

Hi Chris Ref: Lights . . . Other than H7 bulb upgrades from Osram I fitted the led drl kit into the vented recess which tbh don't really do a lot. I got them off Ebay @ £134 and only took an hour to fit both sides, very simple ! Made a massive difference to my presence on the road, only in the daytime as go off with headlights on (legal way) A must upgrade imo and not only fills the ugly holes the look is amazing 👌 go for the gloss black on white, as the white is no where near a match. You will absolutely love them, I promise you . . . Regards Sam from Cannock Staffs . . .

Hello Chris, after a bit of advice, your alloys and tyres I have been wanting to upgrade my Bailey to alloys BFG tyres but keep being told the tyres need to be stamped C or Cp for insurance purposes. Any advice would be appreciated. Craig.

Hi Chris, are you running Starlink off your inverter or have you converted to 12v supply? Thanks.
@ChrisSloanes3 ай бұрын
Just off the inverter mate
@morts65653 ай бұрын
@@ChrisSloanes thank you! I blew my dishy up on the van, I’m worried that it might have been something to do with a 12v conversion kit installed. Starlink replaced it, but worried it may happen again. I don’t have an inverter in the van currently, but think it might be wise.
@ChrisSloanes3 ай бұрын
@morts6565 it uses very little really. Around 3-5ah max when it’s on too so should need a particularly powerful inverter if that’s all your looking to power
