One thing this natural hair journey has taught me is that, it’s just hair and it will grow back. I did 2 big chops. The first was planned, when I decided to go natural in 2010, and my second was unexpected, after a bad bleach experience with a stylist in 2015. I was able to enjoy the second chop, and wear my TWA out with confidence. The goal is definitely healthy hair. Best of luck in your healthy hair journey

Oh, my goodness! I really thought you were moisturizing your own hair until I saw the edge lift. That wig looks like it would be your hair. Gurl, don't put your hair thru the stress of heat damage. You're the EMPRESS of the wig game and can wear any style. Fry those wigs up but not your own coils. Comb twists would look FANTASTIC on you! I like the little fro. I'm about to chop as well. I do it about every 2 years.

Congratulations on your weight loss. The scale isn't your friend and it can be very discouraging. You're experiencing body recomposition which is GREAT! I'm 94 days into my 150 day fat loss journey and have lost 9.8lbs. However, all of my clothes are too big and I'm two sizes down. Although, the scale is moving I go off my clothes and I measurements. That's more satisfying to me and keeps me focused. You should make a more in depth video about your weight loss if you have time. Im glad you let the dead ends go. Your hair will love you for it! ❤️

Brit, I did ADF because of Colleen a while ago. I've switched up now, but I had to lose my nursing school (RN) weight. I graduated in December. So, I've lost it, but I'm a less than 10 pounds from Onederland. My problem became not eating enough on feast days, but ADF is a breeze once you get used to it.😊

I love LMNT. I’m mostly carnivore mixed with 16/8 fasting. I like to mix the collagen & electrolytes in a container with a screw top. In my mind it’s a big boost of nutrition. The collagen thickened my hair, made the strands healthier & smooth out my skin so nicely. Your hair looks great!

Hey Brittney! Your hair looks beautiful!! I’m interested in fasting. I’ll look into it. Thanks for sharing that. Carmen is one of the best people to watch for twa’s. Love her videos. I cut my own hair all the time especially since I always wear it coiled. I use mousse def and I set it and forget it literally. It dries faster than gel. Style it once a week. When I have to go somewhere I just lift with my pic and spritz with water. Thassit. Styling twa’s can be time consuming if you want good definition but that’s why I opt for mousse def. Right now I’m on a journey to growth and possibly locing at some point so I haven’t cut my hair in months. I’m tryna see how long I can get it.

Hello. Great video. I know I’m late but Ive big chopped my hair about a month and half ago. I also had major heat damage and it was from only one style of flat ironing my hair. I had almost bra strap length and I got it cut down to above my ears. My back was tapered low. It was much lower than what I’m used to but I luv my curl pattern. Like you said, I had no idea my hair would curl up the way it does. So I have no plan on putting heat in my hair again. I have braids now and it’s only been two weeks and my scalp is so itchy that this is the last time I will get braids again. Unless I do it myself since I can control the tightness. Oh and I also fast. But I would skip breakfast and won’t eat my lunch until after 1p. My last meal at night is before 7p or 9p on nights I go to the gym and I won’t eat again until the next day after 1p. Drinking plenty of water. Looking forward to seeing your hair journey and fasting progress. Thank you for sharing!

I've always thought you would look nice with your hair cut off because your so pretty and I was right! Girl you better rock that! I used to wear mine even shorter and I dyed it burgundy. Chile you couldn't tell me nothin. 😂😂
