Thank you so much for sharing this style. I know this video is 2 years old but your pacing, patience and encouragement is what got me through! It took me double the time (10 hours) and others weren’t impressed (except for my mom lol!) because most folks these days doing their own hair seem to be at a professional level. But not me! I’m all beginner and can’t even do single braids. It was uneven in size, my parts were messy, but it was done and I was proud of myself!! Am attempting this again, this time with color (😬) and using the rubber band method for neater parts. My parts are already struggling lol, it took me two hours just to do big sections that I’ll blow out before parting. Praying the final result will be decent. Happened to have some afro spring twists that we're in crochet form, I just undid them, brushed them out a bit, and did the braid and loop through method and it worked like a charm!! This turned out so beautiful! I just did mine using method 2 and I love it! I did this style in preparation for surgery and it is exactly what I needed. It’s beautiful and very light weight. I know I’ll be doing this style again so I’ll have to try method 1 next time.
