Very straight forward points to follow 👍👍 Your realness is refreshing! 💖 I too believed my hair will grow overnight (still do lol) but I'm not stressing over it anymore, and just enjoying the change I see every three months when I take out the mini braids. Here's to more change to come 💇💆🎉

You are so right. Im a year into my hair journey and I expected my hair to be long. But like you said, it could be 2 or 3 years before I start seeing the type of length I want to see. I will just have to be patient, thank you🤷🏽♀️

Omg! This video is real talk. It hurts to hear that whatever I’m doing isn’t working. I have issues with split ends so I promised to trim my ends more often this year. My hair was waist length last year but I had to cut off until just a bit past bra strap length. My hair is probably waist length again. Wash and go is my go to style. 😱 My ends are always in need of trimming.

I clicked on the video so fast :) Glad to see you again :D! Also I JUST put my hair in mini twist because it is getting way too long and I am in school for music and I have NO time! I work (2 jobs), go to school and perform in an ensemble (about to be 2 ensembles possibly) and have two, TWO!!!! studio lessons (clarinet and piano)...ain't nobody got time for that! But wash days are easier like this when my hair is in mini twists and I can go in and redo some of the twists. This also forces me to not use heat for like a long time. My hair just made it a little bit past midback length and all last semester/last year, I straightend my hair once every 2 months but would keep it straight for like 1.5-2 months before washing it again and going in with the flat iron. But yeah I have mini twists in and I also just trimmed my ends while they were in the mini twist. My hair is choppy and it be stay choppy, but it is healthy 😂! Love ya girl and you always come through with the facts and personal experience! Hopefully I'll get to one day meet you when I plan my trip up to Oregon and Washington!

@@NaturallyMarked girl no, no comparisons! You are amazing and to tell you the truth, I cry EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I am always stressed out, but I know that God is in control and he is on the throne! We are all on our own path and that honestly is something I am learning and def. Struggling with it everyday, especially being 28 and feeling that I am still so far behind everyone else (both my younger sisters have their B.A. and are working towards their careers), but like I keep telling myself is that we all are on our own path and God directs our steps. Not to get preach-y or anything, just thought to share ❤.

I learned the hard way with durags. I wear a durag on my head daily so that I don't have to color my grey hair as much since the henna doesn't last long when I do it. My edges started to bald a bit in the center. First it was not very noticeable then it became more pronounced. I just switch two weeks exactly to a satin scarf or silk daily. The durag was drench in oil that should have stayed in my hair, instead it took two years to figure out that I was doing something wrong because when the cloth was soaked with the oils I put in my hair I just thought that I put too much oil. Now with the satin scarf or silk my own hair stays moisturize longer.xoxo

Hi, girl. I love your hair. Oh, I just want to thank you personally for motivating me to go back to wearing mini braids. Yup, I had big chop my hair 12/18 above my shoulders due to extension heat damage& neglect. However, I didn't completely chop it to a twa like I intended. I put mini braids in sometime in 4/19 under my wigs. My hair was barely arm pit length. Now, mostly BSL within 4 mths of me wearing mini braids. Yup, I agree with all of your tips. Thanks, gorgeous for all of your videos!❤

I’m confused what’s wrong with durags?? I used them when I sleep bcuz they keep my mini braids in place. I don’t tie it tight and I put a satin bonnet on top so there’s a second barrier that silkier than the bonnet rubbing against the pillow so I don’t get much frizz.

I just knew my hair wuz gonna be dwn my back where i can whip it back and forth....nooooot. I cudnt understand wut wuz happening to me. I been on this journey since 2014. I found out after many many many set backs i cudnt do coconut and several other oils, doo gro, wild gro etc etc. Looking back i wuz so impatient. I had an allergic reaction to hair I bought from Amazon in 2019. I didnt wash it bfoh i installed it. My whole crown section wuz plum bald. Due to that and age, genetics and hormones pre/post menopausal my hair is on my top lip as of Feb 2021. Im looking fwd to health and growth. May all of u have a health hair journey. I just wanted to share my personal experience.
