My favourite aspect of this toy is that you get both Rodimus Prime AND Hot Rod in one package. To top it off, you get the matrix and the toy accurate guns. Only thing missing is the Firebolt targetmaster (which you can buy separately as Siege Firedrive). If you can only afford one representation of Hot Rod/Rodimus, this set will cover all your needs. (EDIT: Covers *most* of your needs. You'd still need the battlemaster Firedrive if you really want the whole Sh'bang.)

This guy is my ultimate Rodimus Prime. He has the bulk that makes him seem a lot more fitting as a Prime. Being 100% G1 accurate is boring and old by now

I never liked Rodimus, but I was lucky enough to get the Unicronus version and I can't help but love it for it's clunky, partsformy goodness. I adore all the modes, even the matrix is fun.

@@HBRice17 Bruh, the main robot is just as big as the Earthrise Prime. It's a Voyager with extra junks. Idk about you, but I would rather call it Voyager+ Class, not Commander Class. Also one other thing, due to the decrease of plastic quality around the time after DOTM movie, the improvement that Hasbro made for Kingdom Rodimus just makes it on par with the older, sturdier figures AFAIK.

i like this guy it was officially my gateway toy back into the hobby after not being one since armada/ rid 2001 era. his knees are my biggest let down since mine got a very weak pin so he cant stand straight up. but as for shelf precence he does have it specially since the one i got was the rodimus unicronus version and probally will stand on my eventual shattered glass shelf when it gets started. as a side bit my second toy was galactic man gen selects wfc seige shockwave and ive been here in the collecting world since.

recently picked this guy up, freaking love it. im a sucker for combining figures, growing up with armada and energon. my only complain is the arms in the combined mode are just bleh.

I missed this Rodimus when he was out in stores (due to being broke at the time), so I ended up paying just over $100 US for him last month. I wouldn’t say he’s as good as the knockoff Megatron MP-36 I bought last year, but he’s still good. He and PotP Optimus hold equal positions of honor on my shelf, though every now and then Hot Rod and Orion Pax take a break from leadership, leave the Matrix at home, and go fishing :)

I still like this figure. I have SS Hotrod as my Hotrod and pretend the small robot is Rodimus. The SS Hotrod's matrix actually fits inside his chest, too. I pretend the big robot is a trailer combine mode. The Kingdoms Rodimus was always too expensive and I don't mind not getting it. I removed the cheap foil stickers and upgraded it with toyhax stickers and it works really well. I also pretend that the matrix that came with this figure is the enigma of combination, since it's so big and won't fit in the smaller robot chest. It's not perfect but works for me and is fun.

I'm one of the ones who looks at this guy as rodimus and super rodimus. But its still pretty cool for what it was. I very much enjoy the commander rodimus and that is my definitive rodimus. But I'm not gonna get rid of this guy or his repaint because I think they are just cool.

Interesting how this review basically ends up being a justification for the newer smaller Ultra-classes (the actual name of the "leader" class). Yes they're smaller, but in addition the extra parts, you could high quality engineering and more realistic/show accurate scaling. An Ultra-class figure at the Power of the Prime size scale with Siege level engineering and articulation would INSANELY expensive. Better to get a slightly smaller Ultra with less wonky proportions and more articulation (and scale accuracy - Rodimus was NOT that big) then a chunky boy who is a bit wonky... and is a partsformers.

Totally agreed. If all it costs to have better engineered and articulated and be nicer to hold is to downsize all figures into more accurate and sensible sizes with fun accessories, then I think it's a very fair trade off and I'd happily take it

This is why you shouldn't gatekeep like you are, the original/actual name of this mode was Ultra-class when it was first released and now Hasbro confusing refers to it as "Leader", but you should really stick its original name like most fans as it's less confusing.

People did not hate on this figure for not being G1. People did not like this guy because of the kibble in both modes, bad shoulders in terms of looks and functionality, and super weak Hot Rod figure. That Prime is amazing tho.

I still have this👏🏻👍🏻 leader class yes. But not scale accurate with other chug transformers. Like alt mode scale okay with chug but robot mode is masterpiece scale. You should buy the upgrade kit for the shoulders. It's called shockwave labs upgrade kit for potp rodimus prime.
