I personally have always loved Big Country their unique sound especially the lyrics. Still play them today. Husband doesn't like them so much but always on my play list ALWAYS

u need a new husband haha,, my brother actually got on stage with them in edi back in the 80s, the show got cut short tho as the place went on fire. true. not sure if they were playing fields of fire at the time ha .

I remember their guitars sounded a lot like bagpipes (which I love) in (Big Country). Haven't heard them in forever. Thank you for sharing it. Added this to my playlist!

Fantastic band. Grew up with them and still listen to them on the vinyl albums I bought back then and I’m now 55. Stuart Adamson,great vocalist and guitarist 👌👌

I remember that festival being on German TV back then and me recording Big Country's and also Joan Armatrading's gig onto VHS tape; BC had just released their album 'Why The Long Face', which I bought only a few days later. Can't believe this is now already 28 years ago! 🤯

Well hello fae Bonnie Scotland thank you so very much for highlighting my hometown heroes my idols and my friends BIG COUNTRY! I have been a fan of BC since their inception and The Skids, Stuart's first band before them. I knew Stuart personally for nearly 20 years he was a lovely humble guy and one of the greatest guitar players of ALL TIME! Since when did a wee bit o rain stop a Scotsman lol we would never get anything done if it did 😂 It has to be said, the 3 greatest words ever heard in ANY live music venue just has to be FIELDS OF FIRE!!!!! From right here in Dunfermline to you on the other side of the world a million thank you's once again, SHAAA!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿!

I've been there in 1995. "Das Fest" in Karlruhe, Germany. It has rained the whole day and I was wet to my underwear. Nevertheless ... what a great show!!!! I'll never forget it. And I know one of the girls dancing on the stage 😉
