My dad, God rest him, used to drive a Ford L9000 like this one for the state, delivering equipment. He called it Blue Thunder and they put down some mileage back in the 90s and 2000s. When it was time for a rebuild my dad convinced his friend in the maintenance yard to install the next size turbo and bump up the fuel a bit :D Always a hot rodder.

My dad had a 1986 LNT 9000 for 10 years, 365 Big Cam 4, 13 speed overdrive and SP40s with 411s on airbag. it had the same interior, a 42 inch low line bunk, fiberglass flares and visor plus the later style grille off a LTS. it was a tidy little truck back in it's day
