sad thing that you can't please everyone, if you could it would turn into a full time job instead of just doing what you do and hope it helps a few to learn something and in the process have a better day. remember over 1K in likes is always better to focus on than a few dislikes, it is like focusing on the few bad days in a year and forgetting how good it is.

Buckin. You’re the man. So glad you are still with us. One hell of a guy! Your knowledge and skill blows my mind. The big saws you and your boy run make me drool! I found your channel right after I bough my 5 acres and Stihl 391. Big saw to me. I’ll be honest. Really no experience what so ever. But I managed to clear my land. 650ft driveway and the landing where the house is going to go. Multiple 100ft tall white oaks dropped. Not so hard when you don’t have anything to worry about hitting. But I made it thru it. Some of the hardest work I’ve ever done. Just wanted to say I appreciate you and everything you do and god bless! Fingers crossed one day I can work a big mean saw just like the surgeon you are!

There is a japanese parable about an artist that fills a cupboard with practice drawings, so that he can draw a masterpiece in just a few strokes. I always get nervous when you stand by the stump, as she goes over. It's really beautiful to watch you cut a tree down. I really appreciate the details of the basic geometry you are using, and how you prep the chain, and such.

Ya i agree this guy knows how to fell a tree and i can tell by the way he runs a saw he does have experience. I fell timber for 19 years and I still climb and do my part. We were asked to be on "axe men" and we refused because my personal opinion is if you have a camera on you your not completely focused on the job at hand and thats when people get hurt. I have been running a saw felling and climbing for 27 years now and have always followed the wisdom that my grandfather gave me when I first started. His name is Timothy Fennimore and he told me. "Never get comfortable because thats when you get hurt.. And never think you know everything because thats when you get killed." I have instilled that same wisdom in everyone I can from timber to towers. It will save your life.

I to have a 391. The double raker chain is the anti kick back chain. You have to take the anti kick back chain off. It's garbage. I switched to a regular chain, yellow box instead of green, and the saw cuts great!!

The 391 is a tad underpowered to be running that 24" bar in my opinion, good firewood saw but for felling trees using a saw that size i'd want a 381. Much more power. But at the end of the day, you can only use the tools you have. Good to see you helping out a mate in need, happy cutting.
