Is something strange happening at the wingtips ? Maybe a corkscrew wobble ?

Great stuff! Out of interest, do you fly with butterfly on throttle stick on your gliders? Or just on a switch. (those that are equipped with ail.flap)
@SlopeRCGliders6 ай бұрын
I always set flaps up on the throttle stick. I find it feels more natural, like throttling back the plane for landing.

That's wonderful slowflying! What is that model? Very cool today! Every video a difference in flying!

Did you make it from a plan ?
@SlopeRCGliders6 ай бұрын
This one is my own design. I used Depron for the wing ribs and balsa for everything else.

You have some different slopes now. Did you move to a new location?
@SlopeRCGliders6 ай бұрын
Yes, I moved at the beginning of the year. It’s further for me to get to a decent slope now, but I’m loving my new house and its location.

Hi John, a question came to me just now. Have you ever caught a thermal while slope soaring? It happened to my brother and I a few times flying Gentle Ladys. One day my brother's plane went from hand launching on a hill side to soaring 1,500 ft. in a few minutes!
@SlopeRCGliders6 ай бұрын
Many years ago, I did fly through a small whirlwind whilst flying at an inland slope. I saw the long grass getting disturbed as it moved up the slope towards me. Then my glider flipped upside down and went up about 50 ft in a couple of seconds, before rolling out and carrying on flying. I was flying a lightly loaded 100" balsa model so was lucky it stayed in one bit.
