I think you missed the point of the phone. Yes, what makes this unique is it's seed vault. No other phone has it. No other phone. If you're a heavy user of defi, it's a dream. This shows other manufactures that it's possible to integrate crypto and security in one device. Have you used a ledger with a PC or a phone? It's so painful. Saga is seamless. Ledger is going to do the same exact thing. 100% It's all coming. Saga shows it's possible. You need someone to make the first move. Samsung and Apple will never do this first. It's controversial. I agree the price point is not perfect. Definitely not for everyone. I think in a couple years, you'll look back and see how revolutionary this phone actually is. Thanks for the thorough review!

I'm glad you enjoyed the review. My main focus was the web3 aspect of it on top of my usual analysis. I wouldn't have reviewed the phone by itself if there was no web3 initiative. Otherwise, it wouldn't catch my attention.

Just my opinion, but im not sure why anyone would use their phone for "cold storage." Cold storage is meant for long term keeping. The phone itself is a slight breath of fresh since its something other than Apple or Samsung/Google. Is it lacking? Eh maybe? Is it early development and borderline bleeding edge? Yes, at least in terms of taking a stab at mainstream. Here's the thing for a dedicated web3/crypto experience am I really going to trust Apple/Samsung/Google who constantly allows governments in through the backdoor? Probably not. I still cringe at the fact people still use finger prints and facial recognition as passwords...for a more secure experience they should be used as usernames NOT to unlock information.

Not only does Solana Mobile need some relief from sales but also OSOM because they built the phone in its entirety. When it comes to something like the iPhone X in 2018, that cost $210 to make so it's really standard to flagships as $1000. However, I just don't agree with the pricing.

Solona and osom came up with some sort of agreement, (I'm guessing a lot of money) and the osom ov-1 became the saga pretty much killing off the idea of us ever getting another osom phone which makes this the third time essential has died

Your iPhones speakers are broken then. And most consumers care way more about speakers and cameras, then about anything crypto, because average Joe doesn't sh*t about crypto. The average customer will ask you about displays and cameras, not about seed vaults. Also, the seed vault feature is cool, but doesn't justify a four digit price tag. If you go into flagship territory, you have to offer premium quality on any aspect of a phone. People do care, wether you like it or not.
