Ohh, that was a red flag though. I don't trust people who say that they don't want their partner to do anything in a relationship but be spoiled and love them because that INSTANTLY puts the relationship in a wildly off power balance. If Ed's hypothetical partner is fully dependent on him, that opens up opportunities for him to guilt trip them because he has all the financial power in the relationship. If his partner wants to leave or hold Ed accountable for anything, they're hobbled by that dependency, and that's way too easy for him to abuse.

My personal theory: -Ed and Liz first started dating because of TLC -During the show, Liz fell in love with Ed due to odd habits(she apparently has 2 ex-husbands) -Ed was abusive and manipulative(thus breaking up 8 times) -Ed proposed(to keep Liz hooked on the relationship) and Liz accepted out of peer pressure -Ed finally broke up with Liz for good(thus ending the engagement) and is now on TLC again -Liz is off the internet due to emotional stress caused by Ed and TLC That is what I think has happened between Ed and Liz. I think Ed was only together with her because of control and sex. He broke up with her because TLC is shooting Single Life and he needed another girlfriend for content. Liz will probably update the internet with the real story when she is over the emotional stress Ed caused her or she will be gone forever and never want to revisit this part of her life again.

It’s so hard to say, the majority of that could be wrapped up in property and vehicles. One last thing, I really think they’re on there just for the money. People that appear in that series make $1k-$1.5 Per episode and $2.5k for the reunion. That might not sound like much but when are you taking to consideration half of them have cameo, brand deals, merch and OFs they really are making a significant amount of money from being associated with the franchise. Every source I found says that Ed is worth $800k, which is even more than cast members that have been appearing 4+ years.
