Quite a few visits again tonight. Was nice to see ChipChip and Pip come together. Jimmy obviously came a few times, but what's new there, lol 😃 Daphne sneaked in at the end ❤️

I'm just a normal everyday lady who feeds friendly wild foxes and squirrels that come to my garden. Under no circumstances am I trying to tame them as pets or allow them into my home. I am also NOT a fox rescue service. They turn up of their own free will. Being urban, food isn't always easy to find, as not many areas for them to hunt, so I like to try and help them a little if I can. They are not totally reliant on me and haven't lost the ability to hunt for themselves. I will give them medication when needed for mange, infections, and pain, but that is under the close eye of the fox experts 🦊
ChipChip, Cookie, Jimmy, Pip, Daphne, Ringo, and Howie are the seven regulars that arrive most evenings. Basil hasnt been seen since the end of November, just as mating season started 😪 But I live in the hope that he'll return one day 🤞
Biscuit, was the first fox to befriend me back in 2021. Unfortunately she passed away Sept 1st 2023 and she is sadly missed by everyone who got to know her 😢❤️ I'd like to thank The Fox Angels Foundation and Second Chance Fox Rescue for all the help, support and advise with trying to help Biscuit. And the continued support they still give me. I can't thank you guys enough! 🦊🥰
Kenny and Norman, my two cats can be seen from time to time, plus there's Dave, the streetlight 🤣 Random cats, and not to forget the squirrels! ❤️ Plus, there's the badger! and sometimes a hedgehog!

Evening den mum. Evening Jimmy my boy. Den mums diner is now open for business. Our first customer is jimmy. Oh jimmy 😮 well done fella taking it from den mums hand thats a good boy. Den mum you must be so happy. How much trust is he showing you thats love. Oh samba its den mums food your eating, ever heard of dont bite the hand that feeds you? Guess not. Queen chip how are you? Oh bit of a sore leg i see. Nothing to serious i hope. Try and get some rest. If its still bothering you tomorrow im sure den mum will have something in her med kit for you. Oh chip as always so polite picks up one checks with den mum oh both for me thank you. Shame you didnt teach jimmy that. No need to be greedy. Theres always plenty for everyone. But i guess baz tought him otherwise how to be a good partner and dad never go home empty pawed and better to have to much than not enough. The babies are up food always tastes better when its not your own. Simon doesnt like to share its all his if youve got it magoo i want it. Aww well if that wasnt a thank you mum i dont know what is. How big are the adult foxes? They look almost same sized as samba

They weigh less than a lot of house cats. I looked it up on The Wildlife Trusts: 5-7 kilos average. 62-72cms long, with a 40cm long tail. I didn’t see height this time.

I guess you did. Debs made a video about the story. The kits are orphans, from the Second Chance Fox rescue. Debs is fostering them for a few weeks. They’ll go back to the rescue, and in with other foxes, and learn how to be wild. They’ll be released at about 6 months old. Magoo is a week younger than Simon.

I was actually asking about the wild kits...for some reason l thought someone commented that Pip had brought the new babies to eat at Deb's.🤔 As for the foster kits, yes, l have been diligently watching Deb's wonderful video's nighty... I am delighted Mcgoo is finally on the mend.💓 We are all waiting patiently for the wild babies to eventually come to eat soon...they must be enormous by now...with all that chicken they have been eating..😄

@@debs3289 I know that it's a lot worse for you. Different fox rescues let the rescued foxes stay with them. Sav a Fox doesn't throw them out. Magoo has too many reasons to not be released. Maybe you can look into keeping them near you.

@@christinecatt8039 but surely they will need to undergo rehabilitation training to prepare for release back into the wild. including socialisation with other foxes, to practice playing, hunting and foraging skills, as well as exposure to natural environments. specifically designed key enrichment skills is to give the cubs the best chance of surviving and thriving in its natural habitat once released do they not??

Hunger will of course be the best motivator once they are released into the wild. I'm not sure about all the other things..? There are many youngsters who survive in the wild without parents to guide them through their formative time. It's sad when you think abou it.. Nature can be cruel, as well as kind.😪

They are going back to Second Chance Fox Rescue in a week or so now. There, they will mix with the other foxes to become wild again. They instinctively have hunting skills ❤

I've been saying that for weeks now.. I wish Deb's could catch him and get rid of that nasty collar... Now that we are able to chip our pets...l see not reason to subject them to inhumane collars ..🤔

I think Sambas collar has a bell on it, which at least helps to decrease housecats’ impact on local wildlife.

@@vanessap7393 While l agree with you regarding the bell. That still doesn't help Samba rid himself of that tight collar...🙂 If left ...it can cause him terrible pain, and trouble breathing as he grows. 🤔
