It doesn't just look bad for them, it looks bad for everyone involved. It's an insult to their director, choreographer, music director, and castmates to not take it seriously. As a theater kid, I would be so pissed if my castmates acted like that for myself and all the people that actually care about that performance.

for those saying that the high school changed the lyrics and that this version is illegal, they did not. this is the official high school version of heathers. the company that made heathers changed some line’s and lyrics so that a high school is allowed to perform it. i believe heathers is rated r, and high schools can only go up to pg-13.

because some schools don’t have the buget to get a lot of mics. most schools let the leads have mics (because they have the most lines) or people who talk softly (so it will be easier to have one.) my school has people who talk quietly get mics, so my goal this year is to not get one.

This was so similar to my most recent choir concert. I had a solo (it wasn’t supposed to be a solo but all the other girls are quiet and my director trusts me to get the right notes and be loud enough despite my stage fright) for the song Dance The Night from the barbie movie and omg… i was the only one you could hear, even though the 2 other sopranos had the same part. I was at the mic, but even when my face went away from it on accident you could only hear the track. They weren’t as sluggish with the dancing as the people are in this video, but the singing was lacking a lot and I was the only one getting all the right notes. It’s SO difficult to have confidence on stage and give it your all when everyone else is half-assing it :( I feel for this girl
