The interview with rapper Big Gipp recounts an incident that happened at the 1995 Source Awards. Gipp explains that Outkast was getting an award at the ceremony, but the audience began to boo them. He believes this was because it was the first time many of the rappers had seen each other in person, and there was a lot of tension between different rap groups. Gipp specifically mentions the feud between Death Row Records and Ruthless Records, which included MC Eiht and DJ Quik. Gipp describes the tension building throughout the show, with Death Row's entrance being particularly impressive. He then recounts how DJ Quik came on stage wearing a red rag and began rapping directly at MC Eiht, who was sitting near Gipp. Gipp says there was "internal rap beef" going on between the two, as well as between their respective record labels.
