I live 5 minutes from Big Mike's. I remember seeing it underwater as I paddled by in a boat. So many memories from the flood. It's nice to see everything almost back to normal.

He might have been running with a thin margin. Unless he ponies up for very expensive flood insurance, the insurance payout would be low. Over here we still have hotels closed since the 90's or so after one island took a near miss from a hurricane and it's still closed 30 years later. They were chain hotels that couldn't afford repairs.

Roger Borroel he did. They said it would take months to get the insurance money. Because 1. He isn’t it only business or person that suffered storm damage 2. Insurance companies always drag their feet with spending money on anyone but themselves.

Marina Adams it is fake. I was with the 4 man crew who replaced ALL the a/c after the flood at big mikes. First time I witnessed those repair shows are all smoke and mirror. The ones who did the work arent shown, just the “Crew” walking around in toolbelts when the cameras start rolling..
