I first met Shaun Whale at a 4x4 show in Brisbane 6 years ago. We got to chatting about Hilux's and met for coffee that night. We went for a walk in the park, talked about wheeling, held hands and watched the sunset. Shaun is an amazing guy and I will never forget that day.

I don't care budget or not.....I absolutely love little zuks the wheels and lift look awesome can't wait to see what you do with the donk and everything else...

Been in the zook seen for over 20 years now is awesome to see where ya take this thing Sam highly recommend reduction gears (look up ADD engineering for gearing) and a set of WT diffs (88.5 to 96 sierras have wider diffs) 100% them wacky shackles won't pass engineering and I doubt 31's will either but otherwise keep up the killa content man

My cousins Jimni went from 195/80r15 H/T to 225/75/15 M/T with a 2 inch lift. It drives good on the road and great offroad.

Bro I haven’t checked all your video but I love the fact that you build different 4x4. Next you need to do a wrangler and not any, the TJ!! You’ll find so many things to pimp it and you’ll have great fun, plus your view will go up for sure :) we love our Jeep

Being a long time owner of competition and overland suzuki SJ's in the uk I found it a little strange that you say its hard to get parts for them in Australia as what we commonly regard as some of the best suspension kits out there come from old man emu and all the gear from ARB for the axles and air systems. there is almost nothing made over here for them now sadly, its all state side or in Aus. I'm 6 months into rebuilding my first one back to better then its prime. It's taking so long as nothing is on the shelf here anymore. trucks looking great though, hope to see it getting used for some 4wding soon, those front shackles look like they'll get hung up on obstacles pretty easy though.

A bit of research would have told you drop shackles are pointless, an unweighted tyre may look Fully Sik but does nothing. You’ve, by sheer luck, done the right thing by going light springs, this will sit lower and actually provide better flex than a normal lifted spring. Shackle lengths are a function of chassis mount distance and spring length. If the spring is functioning correctly the shackle shouldn’t invert and provide a good angle to allow the spring to flex through its full motion

Are you changing the diff gears or transfer gears to bring the gear ration back closer to original? your going to lose a lot of the limited power it doesn't have with the 31's

The rims and tyres really set the Suzuki off mate 👌

I don’t think he’s trying to do a budget build. I think he just Brought the cheapest 4wd that he could find.

Pretty affordable over time. Content creators like Sam would get it all done pretty quick but over time it’s not too bad.

$1200 suspension? The shackles alone are over $700. Nice rims, but totally unnecessary, 90 buck steelies are fine. The tyres are so big it'll barely do 90kph in 5th. And stop calling it a turd. Have you even driven it?

Pretty affordable. Suspension is a bullet you have to bite, especially how flogged his was. And a lot of people from all budgets drop $1k on rims, especially with afterpay becoming more popular. Just remember it's not your car, you don't have to do anything he's doing

Sam just a note. In the previous video you said that this car was not going to do so much four-wheel-drive and considering the amount that the shackles stick out in front of the bumper bar, I’d suggest that you remove them. Looks good so far and it’s nice to see that you’re transparent with the prices keep up the good work
