The Devs have now sussed onto this. It's difficult to even kite T3 now, as the range of missiles has been reduced dramatically and the anomaly ships have fast Breachers that can run rings around the Kestrel.

Actually doing t7 encounters with this setup only difference i have a mk3 shield booster not even a mk5. So thx this works realy well. It takes a while for t7 but still not bad that you can do it

@@captainbenzie I had 3 T3 launchers, afterburner, ballistic, shield. Also t3. I had a webifier fitted which was useless of course. I had to run from a medium anomaly. Guess I need someup grades. Kited a t5 no problem.

oh, did they change the mechanics in Echoes about the range? Usually it was so, that if something is following me, I could drop a missile, torp, cruise, whatever with a range lower than our distance, but because they are following me, they would just fly into the missile o_O damn, I miss mines, they were cool ^^ I still have some of every kind in my assets :D

Silly question - I'm running a Tier5 Encounter in a T4 Destroyer right now. Every time I warp in to it, I'm already right on top of the enemy, like less than 10 KM from them. How do I warp in further away from the bad guys? They start tearing me up before I can put them at a safe distance for kiting.

@@captainbenzie Thanks Cap! I'm a super newb - I've been grinding encounters to wrap up all of the tutorials, so nearly all of my warping has been done from the "Encounters Menu." For the sake of other newbros, I'm going to add this: To set your warp distance, manually undock from a station, select any object in space and then long hold the "Warp To" button and drag out the distance you want, as explained by Captain Benzie above. Thanks again! Keep up the great content. You're helping to bring a once impenetrable game to tons of peeps! Audio and video quality is great, love the relatively short duration of videos too.

I have t 3 weapons and it hits for 500 and it takes forever to kill omens. Im lvl 4 99% and have t 5 weapons and i hope that helps. But my trainer destroyer hits for 716 and it kills so fast in comparison. Might try a missile Ballista control.
