Big mk2s' scoop was in a better place - it has more audible mids and more flexibility. Trim pot is a small inconvenience for much more tonal range. The mk3 seemed like it was set at one primary tone range (too much upper-mid scoop for my taste), and was a lot less flexible. Size reduction not worth it for me ... Mk2s ftw.

you can barely tell the difference between these. The mark ii seems to have slightly more headroom and adjustable. The audio is pretty muddy and no its not the fuzz I'm talking about as I am listening to this video through proper monitors.

I wish I'd found / this video existed 1-2 years ago. I bought the MKIII then, I ended up returning it as I really didn't like it. Now I want to try the MkIIs again.

Couldn't tell how it actually sounded cause you kept playing quarter note chugging stuff. Let a chord ring out once in a while maybe riff a melody a little... loved how in depth you went with the parameters and was surely able to choose the mkIIs over the mkIII because of that. But overall I really couldn't tell how well it sounded... strong playing btw.

I had a MK2s and it always sounded like crap to me. It was finicky as fuck to dial and always just sounded a shade off. I don’t hate the MK3 sound but once I got rid of my MK2s, I was kinda turned off of way huge and I don’t think I’m down to buy another one of their pedals, let alone a reissue of one I got rid of.
