I bought a gold Nobels and liked it so much I bought two more. They all sound good but they are a bit different. With the bass cut set to zero, one is noticeable brighter across the board with what at least _seems_ like a subtle narrow bump in the treble frequencies somewhere between 2-4kHz I believe. One is a bit closer to a new Nobels but with the pot tolerances more like how Eric pointed out, and the third is like that but with a touch more gain. I feel like the gold ones have slightly better touch sensitivity like the old ones I've tried, but I've only ever tried probably two or three new ones so can't say for sure.

Fun fact: Drive pedals are a tool. That gear box, or a Pantheon delux dual drive, or a blues driver all do a similar thing. Add gain to your signal. Please don't spend $2000 on a little dirt in your signal.

Superficially, that's true. If you're going to spend $2k you should get a lot of dirt, I think.

Beautiful build, but how do these rigs travel? I swear these big boards need their own rider.
