A very belated thanks to you at ESP and Terry for this. I’d deleted all my uk commercial KZbin accounts last Sep following a devastating health diagnosis which ended my near 60 year carp fishing passion. It was just too painful to watch. I’m a river angler and have basically no interest in carp fishing, but I’ve watched every one of these Terry Hearn ESP videos and they are outstanding. I just love his enthusiasm and passion, and can totally relate to it with the planning and preparation I put into barbel fishing on some fairly tricky rivers. Finding small clear spots when it’s clear, using google earth, getting to the swims when conditions are right etc. Just brilliant.

I'm always impressed with the wonderful curve Terry's rods take, they seem to cushion every lunge from the fish. Where if you watch some people playing carp on these fast action rods, they hardly bend, even with massive fish on? I know what I prefer!

Terry encapsulates being a man not of his time, and all the better for it. I was lucky enough to have his time for an 'Evening with Terry' at a pub in the Cotwolds, having just come back from operations overseas, his talk was lubrication for a troubled soul. The way Tel tells a campaign is just special. Always learn something, always gives me something else to take into account, even as an angler of nearly 30 years with my fair share of decent fish, you can just never stop picking up bits from the man, he is the absolute king. As someone about to embark on a similar pit this spring and beyond, I can't even explain how inspiring this is, just the way Tel goes about a lake, it's just a pleasure to watch and learn from. Absolutely brilliant as always ESP, and like someone rightly said, so refreshing to not be being sold something, just pure passion for angling, nature and wildlife.
