Macca , hi Macca glad u replied, I believe u are up at ‘Shep’. Last Live Feed Buckin was talking about a Aussie visit and things needed to be organised. I realise u are have a long relationship with him, so, if u ever need help to make that visit a reality I’d be honoured. I’m in the Otways so at least we are in the same State. Love to shake the mans hand and also yours. Thanks for your super chats also.

That P51 is super cool. That saw makes me want one. Awesome sound on it too and that really low & slow idle top it off. That old Poulan was pretty neat too and the 394 is just an animal. I finally got my hands on a 395 last year to do a big ass red oak and WOW. I really really like that P51 though. Iron horse cast a spell on that one.

I had an old Stihl 045 (70+ cc) and it cut like a champ. The local chainsaw shop owner was horrified that it didn't have a chain brake; never did. Now I mainly just use a little battery powered saw with a 12inch bar and I LOVE it. I can't lift the big logs anymore (old age and a spinal fusion + double laminectomy).

Love them Husky's!! I've got a 55, 372xp, and a 395xp. Love 'em all, but that 395 will wear you out!! She likes the gas too!! A lot of our wood here in the midwest just laughs at axes and mauls... 8lb maul will just bounce off just like your axe did on that one piece.

Preparation is the key to so many jobs, whether it's a professional painting indoor/outdoor or helping out a heart surgery patient/friend who is alone with her house/property that is overwhelming. Taking time off of painting job to start removing a an old hawthorn tree that is overgrown and unwanted. Yikes, got two injuries, one little prick on the arm and a puncture in the leg. I wasn't prepared for the possibility of serious reaction. My wrist feels like it's partially paralysed and my leg is swollen at puncture site, super tender, like there's a 22 slug in there. Love to help people but knowing the potential of live thorns and jaggers and prickers is important. So I'm throwing down the caution flag. Be prepared for worst case scenario. I still have 2 more days to handle this stuff. It's deadly. 😣 Shooda kuuda woulda Hey Buckin army watch out for thorns, they fight back. I'm being kind to myself now, may have to take a day off. Good grief Charlie Brown

Hi Buckin!!😀😀 It is really fun watching the big saws run. I think the P51 will give the 394 a good run for its money. Harvey sure knows how to port those Pioneers. Sometimes I think the P38 will hang right with the P51 in 16 to 20 inch wood. The Poulan isn't a slouch either. If I was cutting firewood to sell for a living every day I would have me one of those log splitters. Andrew Easton has built a very nice machine there. Take care my brother!!😀😀❤❤ Logger Al

I sharpen my saws after every use. I sharpen them before I tr-fill them with gas and bar oil. As an example, yesterday I cut up a bunch of hickory limbs and bucked up some big 20 inch rounds, so they could be moved a little more easily, with my ms 460. Burned through a half a tank on the 460. When I got home, I cleaned it and sharpened its RS chain while I was cooking out on the grill. Only then did I fill it up with two cycle and bar oil. It only got three strokes with the 13/64 file, jus enough to clean up the gullett and working corner. I had plenty of time before the split chicken was ready on the Weber with charcoal and hickory wood for flavor.
