Wow! Quite the trip and what a great group of folks to be traveling with. Glad you were able to get to Misplaced Overland up and running. Thinking about proactively replacing our oil coolers on the jeeps with aluminum.

When are using any type of machinery, you are bound to have breakdowns, eventually! I drive folks crazy carrying so many tools on any trips. Saved us the time that my brand new water pump literally blew apart on a 1,000 mile road trip, pulling a trailer load of canoes & camping gear to the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. Good job of staying close and doubling back to help your friends.

Great teamwork on the jeep repair. Sometimes I wish you guys drove Toyota’s but the jeep size is perfect for you guys. Toyota’s break also, I’m just biased because I worked for them most of my adult life. Still beautiful scenery on the videos ❤

Wow great video with beautiful scenery and great teamwork! Hoping to travel some of those trails when we make our “retirement trip” next August but we will be pulling a big trailer with us and won’t be able to camp in the pretty places! I’ve started working on where we can camp and be close. Using your tracks to figure it out!

It’s a sad state of affairs when a 2012 jeep liberty has to be sold for scrap because ahead gasket is more expensive to repair than the vehicle is worth. And that’s after spending 3 grand on fixing the AC vent doors under the dash.

Not good when you break down away from home. Good thing you guys were able to get it repaired and back on the road. The scenery is still awesome. Why do you guys try to camp below 10k feet?
@CoddiwompleOverland

Being from the east cost. We prefer to camp below 8,500 to avoid the possibility of breathing problems at night.

12:33 Geez Louise! How much stuff do you need to bring with to go off roading and camping??? 😮 Our 4 door Wrangler, a ground tent and basic sleeping and cooking gear is all we need. Works great. Besides, is it really camping if you're dragging a house behind you? Oy. If we needed to be that comfortable we'd either hotel it, or stay home. The $50+ K spent on one of those trailers would buy a lot of fuel to go more places, and a lot of hotel rooms, without having to store it and insure it too, not to mention being limited by where you can go off road. SO many negatives. I literally can't even imagine trying to do the trailer thing. #SimplerIsBetter #LighterIsBetter

Yes, I completely agree. I had that same thought when I first seen it. I tried to process why would I pay that for a small camper. Why……. Because I only live once and taking 3 week trips should not be work. The camper is a lot less set up and take down. I’ve done the roof top tents/ done with that. With that being said I say do what makes YOU happy. For me it’s the camper. As far as where you can go with a camper , you would be surprised. Whatever style/setup people have it’s ok. It’s about the awesome journey getting there.

The higher you go in elevation, the harder it is to breathe because the air is not as dense at higher elevation. Our group is from the East in lower elevation.
