Zack, it's really good to see your dad in your videos more than usual. Much like Welkers, Fast Ag, Browns, etc., the presence and involvement of the older generation (also mine) adds the element of wisdom and experience. Something a country with such a small percentage of its population even involved with agriculture needs desperately. Just think what Onyx is soaking up each day he works with you, your dad and Jim.

So glad to see your son has the desire to farm and likes to be with his dad and grandpa. Do to a drought and a farm accident I didn’t have the chance to have my boys carry on with our farm. I have been watching you for a few years and I don’t think you will have the same luck I had. When you get the red equipment I know for sure that will hold true. Irony is when you're forced to use death to decrease emissions and the electronic companies can't even get talk to text and autocorrect to put down the dialogue that you are speaking as if it was written until you hit the little blue arrow. Then you have to go edit it all! Had a bit frustrating. Tad bit frustrating!

The build up suspense on whether the grain cart tracking was going to connect was palpable and the plot twist of the drain tile cage being what went thru the header was a big shocker. I was sure it was a big rock. I love the characters Dad and Jim, I sure hope Jim doesn't get fired again this season. Thanks for your content.

I smiled when Zach mentioned a thresher. I'm 73 and one of my oldest memories is a threshing machine driven by a big belt from a traction engine. They were situated in our farm yard, which seems like an inefficient workflow looking back on it. I would have been about five years old, so 68 years ago.

I used to go to Denton, NC where they have a Threshers reunion every year around the 4th of July. I remember seeing the old threshing machine in operation. They also have a large group of old tractors from steam tractors up to gas and diesel

Me too ,in the UK, a steam engine was the power unit, 53 the year I can really remember watching for several afternoons. I'm sorry Zack but what a waste of time and money that tracking rubbish was, what the heck is difficult about driving a combine to evenly fill a trailer? You need something interesting to do after 12hrs or more keeping the combine going through the rows !!

Zach, the Deere cart system sounds like the system used by Ag Leader called Cart Ace. It should save the unload auger and keep from puking a few hundred bushels of grain on the ground. You're fortunate Onyx picks up farming quick. In a couple of years, you're going to be running the grain cart, while he runs the combine.

Deere has had Machine Sync since 2012. It's hardly a new feature, you just need the machines with auto-guidance and the Machine Sync software.

I noticed when your head stopped you were going perpendicular to the rows. Had the same thing happen with a macdon. Having beans all the way across the sickle like that will stop it dead in it’s tracks having no open space for the cutterbar. Hope this helps! Happy harvest!

Been around farms and combines for many, many years. To give you an idea on how many, I sold one or two of those gray moistener testers new when I was a teenager. Yet, I am always amazed by the advancements in technology. The Machine Sync is something I didn't know about. Hope your throat gets better and continued success with your harvest and fall work.

A couple of things with your diesel pump. First, if you’re not using a high flow pump and larger nozzle and secondly change your fuel filter regularly.
