I know I’m guilty of that and surely I’m not the only idle brain! 😁😁I really do enjoy your videos, kept thinking I wasn’t finding you. I totally understand it has to be a struggle with day jobs and then getting video’s done in evenings. They don’t have to be perfect, just leave it in and we will tell you if it’s a mistake.🤣🤣 I love your whole family and really appreciate you allowing us to share in a corner of your life. I know you will very much enjoy your vacation in March your planning. My hubby and I went traveling all over out there when he was still with me, now I just cherish the memories. He loved reading Louis La’mour books about the west, they are fiction but all the places he talks about are actual places, not made up. So he would have a boo coo list of places to see plus we ran across many others along the way. He also loved trains and the one at Durango takes you through some breath taking(literally) scenes on the way to the quaint little town of Silverton nestled in the mountains. Many camper enthusiast spend the summer there. It’s absolutely beautiful! You can do a one way on train and return by car or round trip. The scenery all over that area just takes your breath away. In March you could likely go skiing if your into that. I once would have been but no more at 80. 😂😂 Utah has so much beauty and Bryce Canyon park just makes you gasp around every curve. There’s is huge rock formations and I swear it looked like hewn legendary people staring at you at a point and then around the curve, was totally different view. Many places to stop and explore. We never got to go back and see others but there are more and I’m sure they’re just as awesome. Another trip was to see the giant redwoods. My dad worked out west when I was a child and he told me and had pictures of trees with a highway through them. I finally got to go see for myself and would love to venture there again and possibly this next summer I can visit again. We didn’t take the interstates, you miss all the beauty if you do. There’s plenty of it everywhere out there. Across the plains is worst part of the trips. Mostly same scenery so we planned and drove through them mostly at night. All kinds of places to pull off and sit by a bubbling creek and make your meal if you’re so inclined. I could go on and on but I’m sure I’ve made my comment much too long now. Love the videos and all of you. Make lots of memories together, the older they get the more cherished they become. ❤❤❤❤❤

Finding those old Econoline's in decent shape is near impossible in our area. The rust has claimed so many of those old vans. Plus if they're decent they bring a pretty high price. Thanks for for the idea. It was worth a shot 😁

I would recomend a trip to Montana. We have some great views and national parks. I live near Glacier National Park and it is amazing. It is also close to Canada if you want to go there as well. Flathead Lake is the largest natural body of freshwater (by surface area) in the western U.S. and is also one of the cleanest lakes in the world. Pictures taken from above make it look like people are floating on nothing.

We went to Bryce canyon city and stayed in the RV park there last July. One of my favorite stops on our vacation visiting the national parks in Utah and Arizona. Going in March will be great.

Just paint the van portion of Harvey to get rid of the surface rust…it’s hard to tell in the video but the tin portion(camper) looks decent. Maybe put some polyglo on it. But you know how it looks in person so your opinion matters the most. Plus it is yours to do how you want it to look. Have a great day!

My sister and I took our matching camper vans to the Utah 5 and the Grand Canyon! Zion is breathtaking!!!The shuttle system in the park is the way to go sightseeing. We stayed in the parks. We are from Ca.

Really enjoy watching all the work do on older campers. When you go to Grand Canyon, you should stop at the Flintstone place. I believe it's located south of the south entrance. And if it's warm enough there is the Slide Rock park in Sedona. Have fun on your trip and thank you for your channel

The only thing I think Harvey would benefit from is a paint job on the cab. From previous videos I saw some rust on the cab and the color doesn't match the back, so I would consider the cab getting a little TLC if it were mine. Whatever you do, I am sure it will end up being great, just like all your other projects. My friend rode the mules down and back up the Grand Canyon and her husband walked it, believe it or not, but he beat the mules! They stayed overnight in a cabin at the bottom of the canyon to rest before making the trip back up. I don't know if anyone in your family rides horses, but this might be an exciting addition to your trip. I will say that even though I have my own horse, and I ride him every week, I don't know that I would do the Grand Canyon because I have a fear of heights.

Go to Bens Campers....1994 Cobra Sandpiper 28 foot $2,850. Looks real good. A little work. I was left a 1987 Mallard Sprinter from my dad. I wish you could revamp it. I live in New York. It needs TLC , extremely low mileage. I don't know where Bens Campers is located. I can't wait to see your 2025 projects. Your videos are inspiring. Scotland is absolutely beautiful and if you go, you will love it. However, all, and I do mean all, of their roads are extremely narrow, and some of them are very winding. Especially up in the highlands!

Our family did the SW Parks when the kids were in their Sophomore & Senior years of HS. We hit The Canyon, Bryce, Zion and Arches with stops in Escalante (AZ State park, good overnighter) and Moab. I highly recommend all these sites. If you've never been to Sleeping Bear Dune in MI I can recommend that too along with Hocking Hills.

I started watching you guys because of Harvey- but I'll tell ya. I am looking forward to you guys finishing up the Rambler. I already love it on the outside, I can't wait to see how you finish it on the inside. I still think you're nuts for taking on that Econoline van- but I'll be watching to see what you guys do with that old guy as well. As someone who has an older RV (Mine is a 2000 Class A), I would suggest that you DO upgrade the exterior of Harvey- only because there are more and more campgrounds that are holding true to the 10 year rule (Won't allow an RV older than 10 years old). However, many of those will also let you get around that rule IF you show pictures of the exterior, and if its in good shape, they will let you in. I'm not talking crazy fancy and expensive RV parks, either. The mom and pops are also getting in on this because of the number of people with older RVs in poor condition that come into their park, stop running, and the owners just abandon them. But if you can show them that you DO take good care of your RV, many of those with the 10 year rule will let you stay anyway. Looking forward to watching more of you guys in the New Year!

As for seeing the Grand Canyon, I would suggest staying in Williams, AZ and taking the TRAIN up to the south rim of the canyon. Fun ride, and no hassle with parking up at Grand Canyon!

Spend some time in Springfield Illinois. Lots of Abraham Lincoln things to do and see in the area. Presidential library and museum, Lincoln New Salem log cabin village with a campground attached to it, Lincoln's house in Springfield as well as his and his family's Tomb. Also the only fully intact Frank Lloyd Wright house is in Springfield.😊

Just a heads up, Grand Canyon is far enough north and high enough that it still has snow in April. We went in April and one of the entrances as well as the whole north side were still closed because of snow. Haven't been to Zion but Arches in April was also a bit chilly but it was clear of snow. I know some of the streams and trails in Zion freeze over but at least it won't be crowded!

Well, if y’all make it as far West as north central Washington state, we have an additional parking area. We do have an exterior electrical outlet so we can run an extension cord to your trailer. I do know that there’s a Lit of campgrounds around our area. We’re able 10 miles from Leavenworth, WA. Check it out. It’s a tourist German town and something is always going on there. We’re also about a 25 minute drive from Wenatchee, WA and we’re 5 miles from a small town in between.

You should absolutely come to Scotland its a lot smaller than you are used to but a west coast route from Glasgow past Loch Lomond over rannoch moor through glencoe past Loch Ness and then though Inverness and doing the North Coast 500 will see the most incredible scenery Scotland has to offer... and that before you even consider trips to the islands which are highly recommended. We'd be sad to see you go but we have a short time for that vacation since we are going during the kids' spring break. Driving from Michigan out west would take the majority of our time. We'll be going on other trips in our own campers 😉
