On sesko, we should not get involved in a bidding war. I like the way Giuntoli has gone back to Juve being secretive in their market moves and getting relatively unknown but talented players and they become superstars at Juve. That is our long standing tradition.

I do not like dry loans. At least, we should have the first priority if he is going to be sold. If we like the player at the end of the season, the price will be increased and other clubs will challenge us. The same issue for Muani. With both these loans we could have invested on part of the price of a top player. In the end, we will be building a team for the future, (BUT ONLY TEMPORARY). I truly don’t think the plan is to go long term with these guys. It’s all about safety nets and do your actual business in the summer and it doesn’t rule these players out just because there’s no option in right now. It just means you’d face competition potentially. I’m fine with the moves.

We can't seriously be looking at this Kelly guy on a permanent basis. I refuse to believe that it is more sensible to scrape the crud off the bottom of the barrel of the prem for a CB deemed not good enough for Bournemouth or the bench of Newcastle than it is to simply bring Rugani or Muharemovic back from loan. If I'm being told that we need to sell core players because we need funds urgently, but are then prepared to waste close to 20m in cash on a bum from the benches of England, my BS detector starts going off.
