The trouble with a high value loan player is it is a gamble if they get a serious injury, like a hamstring injury, where we are left paying the high loan fee when the player is not fit to play. In the circumstances, it may be better to bring on a young player with potential. For example, if young Ross McCausland ever gets to the byline to cut back a cross then it may be worthwhile playing him in every match and or rotating him with Zack Lovelace or Findlay Curtis.
