Thank you for watching. Here are some frequently asked questions and their answers. ⠀ Q. What is that clay? Does it cure in the microwave? A. The type of clay is polymer clay. It cures with the heat of the oven, not the microwave. It's sold to Amazon. Q. What kind of resin are you using? A.It's a polyester resin. But this is not recommended because it is difficult to handle and has a strong odor. Epoxy resin is recommended for use. Q. The frame is distorted due to resin shrinkage. Use thicker boards. A. Then the frame will not be able to absorb the shrinkage of the resin and the sculpture will break. Frame distortion absorbs the pressure of contraction. Using epoxy resin instead of polyester resin solves this problem, but I don't have the money to buy large quantities of epoxy. I like this curve. Q. Music is noisy! distracted. A. sorry I can't speak English so I use it without help. From next time, I'll change to quieter music. Q. You are bad. No technique. A.I am aware of it. Please give me a break. ⠀ Thank you so much for giving me your valuable time. Thalasso hobbyer

Great information, thank you. If start from A to Z that's a scientist doing by the book. Artist can start from anywhere D, G, ect. Not always allows rule or technic. the final result proving. thats the art work. I like your art, keep doing it
@Joxman2k4 жыл бұрын
Like I said you can prebake the teeth before hand instead of needing to be careful to not damage them. One way to minimise polyester resin shrinkage is to use less hardener and have smaller layers. You say that you like it, that is fine. Just thought I'd share what I know so that you could do even better crafts :) I really do like your stuff :)

OMG to see that creature coming at you would stop your heart immediately. I was seriously impressed you made the teeth out of clay and then were able to keep them looking so sharp during installation. I completely thought they had to have been made of a metal to be that sharp looking.
Since I’ve been watching your videos like almost three to four times maybe the same ones lol I’d like to see where you can take it and make a full size version of megladon lurking in the ocean and a fishing boat floating on top

@Joxman2k4 жыл бұрын
Looks great! Just a couple of notes. If you used polymer clay you could bake the teeth before hand. Also if you used several coats of paint you could achieve a more translucent layered effect. One thing you might try is to create "X" braces on the acrylic walls. Bond them with Weld-On 4 acrylic adhesive. You could even drill, and glue, the acrylic sheets to actual plywood.

The only issue I can possibly find with this beauty is the lack of gill flair. Sharks gills usually expand when they lunge because of the water going through their mouths. At the same time, the gills aren't showing too much, so this piece is practically perfect.

Very nice job. One thing. I think a shark’s inner eyelid closes when he is about to bite you. This makes his eyes appear white. Making them white or maybe half white would be even scarier. The inner eyelid closes from the bottom to the top.
