@@otrookie hey bud, i sent you another message on another video. So ignore it as im asking the same here. Do you have a link to the mini split your running? I dont see one that runs the low wattage yours does. Also, can you explain or show how you wired it to run on your generator/ inverter, as all i have seen is these bring hard wired. Thanks in advance man.

Dude, you really need to put that fuse on the battery box. I'm not the best writting english but i'll try to explain my point based on my own experience, and what almost every manual said... The prupose of that fuse is NOT to protect your inverter, the prupose of that fuse is to protect yor truck and your wiring of an electrical fire due a ground short. Let me explain... if you leave the fuse in the place that you show in the video, the only part that this fuse protect is beetwin itself an the inverter, leaving the other part unprotected... so if for any reason the positive wire that you run between your batteries and your drawer rubs with ground you will get a big short because that wire is able to handle like 200 Amps, is the same that conect the possitive and the negative terminal of the bateries with a cable... a perfect short circuit, and with that tipe of current easily can make the truck turns in fire. But... if you put that same fuse inside the battery box... lets said at 5 inches of the batteries, the only unprotected part of the wire are that 5 inches... so, if any part of the wire between the fuse holder and the final consumer of current (in your case the inverter) gets rub to the ground, the fuse will blow and protect both your inverter and your wire... eaven your truck... thats why in all DIY prewired things that you buy like in amazon the fuse is closer to what it should be constant 12V power... not to protect the artefact but the wiring in case of short. Thats my own experience, i learned on the bad way when i was younger and i got my first car by not to put a fuse between the first and my second battery that i put in the trunk to put some amplifiers... that was not a very smart move, thankfully nothing really cathastrophic happens that time but it could get worst easily. Its just an advise

One thing ive always thought is when it comes to electrical if your not a professional or totally 100% on what your doing, fine to set it up and save money but then get a decent qualified sparky to check your work over and make sure it's all safe and nothing you have missed. You put a wrong fuse in wrong place or miss one etc and then chance of fire etc. Then your insurance won't pay or worse you could die. Too much to lose over saving a buck. Some things best not to skimp. My 2 cents.
