Thank you for doing this comparison Stevo!!! This is what I was wanting to see 👍👍👍 Big Rock looks really good man. All the turnbuckles and shocks are in double shear and those driveshafts are beefy. My rustler driveshafts have been holding up so I am sure these will too. That color is a really light blue and I noticed that it matches the rustler light blue 😂😂 I am stuck between the Big Rock and the Granite now 😂😂 Tough choices...

I have just checked the price differences and the Arrma is £125 $160.32 cheaper here in the uk. I would imagine it would take more of a beating too! I have totally gone off Traxxas at the moment.

Got both as well and the rustler is far superior. The big rock has broken the chubs, the driveshafts in the front multiple times, the driver side suspension arm, broke the chassis has broken in half. The rustler which I've had the same amount of time has only broken the rear bearing carrier. I am real disappointed in the big rock after everyone hyped it up claiming it is the best basher out there lol NOT!

Hi, No problems with the BRCC. Well, One of the shocks were leaking, but I was going to put the Typhon 6s shocks on anyway. I did what most do with upgrades as my preference: new shocks, hub extenders, and Proline MX 28's. It's a beast. As for maintenance it's needed none. I am however going to check the diff fluid and go through the truck before Spring I just haven't had time. At Arrma Forum they have videos about how to preform maintenance. The diff removal is only 3 screws. Seems easy enough.

Both r great, thats a hard one, but if u have the erevo 2.0 I would get the Rustler 4x4 vxl, its got a bit more power imo, its also a LCG so it handles well, even better if u put the hot racing sway bars that I put on mine

I like this comparison good look at both these trucks that I’d like to have in my garage one day. I went ahead with the big rock first and it’s on the way finally we were a little slow to get them up here 🙄😂☃️🇨🇦. I would have to say run the big rock, if it’s between those two the big rocks gonna be better in the snow cus it’s got bigger tires, not sure since they have same chassis if the big rock has higher ground clearance but it might since it’s a monster truck style, but ya my votes for the big rock, just make sure to clean all the snow off n dry it, sometimes I use a hair dryer, but then I soak it with wd40 after

Stevo, great video dude. A question I have about the Arrma, how is the stock steering servo? I have a Rustler 4x4 VXL and we all know about that 2075 servo put into that machine. I am curious about your thoughts on the reliability and power of the Arrma servo as it is my understanding it is quite a bit weaker than the Traxxas 2075 servo and as you had shown the Arrma has some big tires and a heavier, I think the Arrma is heavier although I am guessing, machine to steer the wheels underneath of. Ya the stock servo is 7kg IMO its too weak n im changing it out on the big rock, the typhon is not to bad with the stock tires since theyre buggy tires n smaller. But ya the stock servo is junk, which most RTR servos r. With the way the steering is set up, it seems to get debris, rocks, woodchips,ect.stuck n the servo being so weak, it doesnt have the power to move or knock the stuff over, or out of the way, so u will be driving n the steering will get stuck, where u will think the servo failed cus it wont turn in one direction or at all.I do have an running video where this happened to me with the typhon. So hope this helps, this is all just my opinion but im sure most would agree with it, thanks for watching

@@philthyco1 Yes, Traxxas has a very bad behaviour. They buy patent on things they don't really invent. They only upgrade few things on 20yo design. They finish to put thougher plastic drive shaft, thing they should have done years ago. They use the same plastic shock for years. Traxxas is really overpriced for what it is also. Traxxas cars aren't really bad (fortunately for traxxas, RPM make good upgrades for traxxas cars), if you can get one used and cheap in good condition it can be nice for a beginner (in my area even used traxxas are sold at too expensive price lol), then once you know you like the hobby you can change of brand.

@@russellparker4568 I was gonna ask u that too, which is easier for u to get replacement for, so if its traxxas ya man the rustler 4x4, but ya I've only got a few runs with both, if u checkout some more of my vids u will see them both running, if I truely only had one choice of these two, from what ive seen on running them, I think id pick the rustler. reason why I say this is, when I run them the rustler is more of a truggy n handles better, I had to buy new wheels n tires for the big rock to widen it up cus it would tip if u cornered hard, where the rustler would power slide in the corners n power out of them, the rustler definitely has better punch n is faster, n u can see how they jump in one of my vids n seems like the rustler flies better to me, this is all just my opinion, other people might agree or disagree

@@STEVOD313 When you get into those shocks you will see why they are so good..They require no tools to break down..The caps won't pop off ever because there really is no cap lol ..Plus the way the shock tower covers both sides of the top eyelet and has a screw all the way through both sides.. and nice size bottom mud guards..Good stuff.

Thats a hard one, I love both of them. Its really which u like the most cus u can't go wrong with either. If I had to choose I think id get the rustler 4x4 vxl. its gonna handle a bit better since its got the lcg chassis n also the available upgrade parts and custom parts u can get for it will let u customize it to ur own. The big rock doesn't have to many upgrades to personalize it like the rustler, rustler has different color plastics n wheels n thats why if it was my first id get it, so as I go I can custom it to how I want. I hope this helps but u can't go wrong with either rig

IMO I think the Arrma is tougher out the box n the rustler needs a few upgrades like aluminum shock caps, aluminium bearing adapter, put the hot racing sway bars on n then I like the rustler a lil better cus it then handles better n is a lil faster feeling but both r good

ahh yeah steveo, the traxxas is good for kids and beginners, parts availability everywhere. Arrma=just send it!! and looks better!!! dirt guards are also better for the big rock.
