What do you mean by “open water” exactly? What are the depths, is there any structure such as weeds growing up half way, or is it deep water with fish suspended? I fish in the weeds mostly but would like to gain more knowledge for different areas of lakes. Thanks.

Fishing over the main lake basin. No structure, over depths from 20-80 feet. Earlier in the year Muskies will suspend over deep water mostly to feed on suspended bait fish!

Ben, you have this open water fishing dialed in. You're doing great out there in the abyss. 😊 Stupid question, why do you fish out of the back of the boat? You have that huge deck up front, why not use it? Just wondering is all.

I feel like I get better boat control, but mostly I’m lower to the water and can do better figure 8s!
