Reality is that in Dubai original Balmain has given license to produce to these stores. Now they produce their own products, in Dubai and sell under Balmain name. It’s is legal arguement and all official. Got to know about this in London from Balmain country head over there. I raised the same query which you had.

as a general rule, high fashion brands don't offer a sale greater than 10-15% as they rather destroy the product than allow it's reputation to fall. If you are a VIP or VVIP customer, you will get an offline discount or access but when you see a high fashion brand openly advertising a reduction of 30% or greater, just walk away.

Gaurav, Balmain is mid tier luxury brand. Regardless, no luxury brands will discount their products to 70%. By doing that it hampers the exclusivity the brand offers. I haven’t shopped in Dubai but i doubt that big brands like LV, Gucci, Dior, Celine offer significant discounts in the malls.

I am from Dubai only the flashy not so important people wear Balmain here, just like Guess products and Giodarno watches in India. True rich never appreciates or endorses such loud brands. Balmain Paris (Company) 1) Must Be Getting a Revenue%.. 2) Quality/Design/Aesthetics Must Be Good.. 3) UAE Market Collection or Sales Strategy Must be Different and Thus Must Have Tied Up with a Local Partner to Use their Name.. 4) Local Partner is Now Fully Exploiting the Agreement.. 5) Balmain Eyes Closed as Higher Sales is Coming compared to their Other Stores..

Hi Gaurav, you are absolutely right! But there is a genuine real balmain store in dubai which is opposite chloe store in the luxury Avenue. It’s a very small store and that’s the only original store and there are no discounts in that store. The other 2 shops with 70% discounts are the fake or Arabic balmain. However no other big luxury brand in Dubai mall is fake.

Do not buy from the Balmain store in the ground floor and one on the level 2 (ones with huge discounts - 75%). The original Balmain store is the one on Fashion Avenue in the mall. The other 2 stores are just licensed store which sell similar products of lower grade material because the own a license to sell. They could be manufactured anywhere. Apparently original Balmain can't do anything because of the license which they sold which is tarnishing the image of the brand. BEWARE! They also dont accept returns nor do they refund.
