I don’t see how people don’t give him props and credit on that album. But this album Detroit 2 was a great album and I’m glad y’all atleast enjoy this album. gipht marauder He means he made the verse specifically for this song while he was alive - as in, Nipsey knew this was the track. When an artist dies, it’s common for labels and estates to just give recorded verses out to anybody who pays for a feature despite the artist’s original intent for those bars

Haven't been a huge fan of Big Sean I've been listening to him casually over the years. Because a lot of the time I found a lot of his bars to be hella corny but this album was completely different. From beginning the first track I knew he had me and he never let up through the whole album. I didn't hear a single corny (that I thought was corny) and I like every song on this album. There are some songs I like more than others but I think this album was a 10/10 to me personally. Sean really blew me away with this album this will most likely make it in my top 10 of the year which he's never even been somewhat close to.

This is such a nice project to hear from Sean, my biggest issue was how a majority of the time he could sound self-absorbed. On this project though, it truly sounded like he was looking out for not only his City but race of people as well, just emphasizing the importance of mental health and pursuing happiness in life.

He could’ve had the Detroit artist that were on that cypher, sprinkled around on the album. He boxed them all in on one track lol. But I understand he didn’t have to do that cypher joint at all. It just Would’ve been koo to hear him and Royce and a few of those Detroit artist on separate tracks. But he’s a mainstream artist so he’s playing the numbers game. Solid album tho. It was just all over the place for it to be a representation of Detroit haha imo.

Wow, im not totally shocked at Beezy perspective. Knew he would like the nostalgic songs with Detroit techno and soulful moaning samples. Didnt expect him to call Payroll a Detroit legend. Thats major. And he must like Sada. That verse was short. Hopefully, Sada will get a review on this channel now. And Myke will like Sada. He loves fun rap from someone who can actually rap.
@ptroit
@ptroit 3 жыл бұрын
I was shocked by the pointing out of Sada, especially from Beezy. I was surprised Feefo knew of him (or any of them, for that matter since he doesn't seem like their taste). Hopefully they get into some of his projects, especially because I feel this wasn't even Sada's best verse or feature.

BABYd0LL '55 i respect your opinion but I disagree. His verse was complex, he doesn’t have to put that much into his pen at this stage of his career but he felt the need to do it for Sean and for his city. If this was someone like Jay-Z with a mediocre verse on this album, these guys would be all over it.

Honestly Big Sean has become a solid rapper. I think all he would need to do to make a true classic would be to clean up and shorten his track list, and just get some exciting and creative beats. Kind of like what Drake did with If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. If all the beats hit and if he stays on point with his pen that could be a damn near amazing pop rap project.
