Maine Coon cat Freya will meet her little kitten siblings for the first time today. She has been very curious about what's behind the door and today she will finally find out!

Wow. Luna was completely comfortable with Freya coming in and meeting the babies. Makes me wonder if cats know familial relationships. I know you said Luna is sensitive to maybe letting Buster visit the kittens. How about if Dexter visits the kittens. Luna may not like any male cats come close to her kittens. Every cat has its own personality.

To me it seems like they behave differently depending on the family relation. Luna always trusts Freya completely and Freya is so kind and gentle to her kittens. I don't know if it would be the same if they were not mother and daughter.

The kittens must think they have two moms with how Freya hopped right in and started cleaning them! And Luna clearly wasn't pushing Freya out of the way, she's going to get to spread the load more this way!

What a wonderful family they are. Interesting to compare Freya's behaviour with this litter compared to her first siblings - straight into Mama mode. She really is a beauty, too. And Luna the end, so relaxed, eyes closed, thinking thank heavens for daughters. They are a credit to their human.

It was amazing how comfortable Mama Luna was with Freya getting right in the bed with the kittens. And Freya was so cute the way she started grooming them. When I was a kid back in the 1950's, the oldest girl/sister in the family was always called "Sissy" & the oldest boy/brother was always called "Junior". It was kind of a nice tradition. I don't know if that is still the case? Did you have similar traditions in Sweden? Thank you for the video. Looking forward to more ❤

This is so beautiful. Freya is looking after the kittens as if they were her own, giving Luna a much-needed break. Ada will do this sort of thing in time, but not having had kittens yet herself, her looking-after-kittens instinct hasn’t kicked in yet. I’m sure Freya would like to have more kittens, especially if the birth was easy, but not yet!

Luna reminds me of statues of the ancient cats at temples in Egypt. She is so regal. Her daughter Freya is also beautiful and graceful. Their bond is deep. And those little rascals love Freya. Who wouldn't? I highly recommend watching the video of Freya and her beautiful daughter Ada romping through the forest!

Obviously not. Their health is top priority here. If they weren't well enough to have more litters then they wouldn't be having more litters. And it's not like this one single family could rapidly produce enough litters to cause a feline overpopulation by themselves.
