A brilliant video. I'm 70 years old now, and loosing my soul mate 7 years ago, have found myself without direction and purpose. I've resently desided to get another bike and tour Australia. This video has inspied me even more, to get out there and strike off many place I haven't been to off my bucket list. While I'm still able.

Wow wow wow, ....... In the words of Horatio T Birdbath QBE 'DO JUSTICE TO YOUR TALENT' ....... Mission Accomplished, my friend. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your experiences. It was kind of like 'ASK THE LEYLAND BROTHERS' for Adventure bike riders for me. I had to stop watching it THE THIRD TIME THROUGH, as my right wrist was getting VERY TWITCHY 😅😅. I wanted to pack to bike and throw the gear on and DISAPPEAR again. My brother in law and l did a adventure ride in 2011 from Queensland, around the bottom of Australia and back up to Steep Point WA and back through the guts of this BEAUTIFUL country to Byron Bay NSW. 15, 000 old K's and 35 days, WAY TOO SHORT. Bush camped for most of it, so your travels and story resonated so well and bought back so many wonderful memories. And the fact the your journey was on a awesome DR ..... love to hear that GROWL as you get the Doctors heart racing. Top effort and if you ever need a WINGMAN on your next adventure....... l raise my hand 🖐🖐🖐🖐🤘🤘🤘💯.

I was drawn in by the DR 650. At the 1 minute mark something happened and I hit pause. Got up, made a cup of tea and a serving of my fav biscuits because I knew I was going to enjoy the next 1.5 hours. Well 2 cups of tea later I can honestly say this is the best motorcycle trip vlog I've seen in a while. Subscribed because I'm looking forward to the return trip, and also saved so I can watch it again to get me by as I wait. Thanks for your effort Mark. 2 thumbs up!

As a long time biker, at first I didn’t think much of your what I deemed to be an overly cautious attitude towards things… I admired your multiple goes at climbing the tree, but thought you needed a teaspoon of cement… Once you started saying “is this what I have to look forward to getting older” and then your near stack afterwards really resonated with me! You had an excellent adventure, and looked like you grew so much and maybe found a part of yourself you hadn’t met before. In the end your video touched me, and I’m going to watch it again! Great job on the quality of your film. 5 star effort.

And now I looking at you driving motorcycle on holiday , and I planing a tour on motorcycle to Spain 🇪🇸. To Santiago De Compostela. As you say on that movie , just go with the flow. God bless you and I hope you still remember the Camino De Santiago 🙏 . I still do the Camino one time a year . Thank you for so many beautiful movies you doing .

Fantastic, beautifully done. Enjoyed this vlog very much. Have done the trip around in the early to mid 80's, then just picked areas over the years just to come back too. You have piqued my interest into getting back to riding again, but not with a big bike, maybe a 250, and saddle bags. The better half say's she has been waiting for me to come back to riding, something she loved as a passenger. We did the eastern half of the continent with saddle bags packed up like your bike, and it was a 1980 Z 250. 6 months enjoyable riding, with no mechanical problems. Now tonight I am looking for another, if not the same size bike of the era. Thanks for such an enjoyable ride along with you.

I've been exploring options for some time now, on what will be, my next great motorcycle adventure. Riding Oz, has always been my dream, since i was but a lad. The option of travelling a similar route to yours, is very attractive. Need to change my "toy", as i'm currently riding a BMW 800 road bike. Have been considering jumping into an adventure bike, and i have to say, the DR seems like a sensible option. considering weight and manoeuvrability. Not getting any younger either mate, so it's likely, i'll be "ready to go", hopefully by early next year. Thanks for the vid and advice. Very motivating..

Thanks for uploading to KZbin. Great story telling , editing and visuals. How good were the Aldi Leather Motocycle Jackets from around that 2015 era. They had a very heavy leather weight and a overall quality that was surprisingly good. In later years the Aldi jackets they became much thinner and lighter. Mine does not let much water in at all and 6 years on , only the velco cuffs needed repair.
