As for the 16:25 mission, i think the reason why the game crashes if you blow up the car instead of putting them on water is that the creator made the car dissapear after you destroy them. It works fine when they are just underwater but in case of exploded vechicles the game for some reason can't delete them like other cars so it just crashes. I wonder if the game creator knew about that and that's why he gave you the weapon, because you aren't using the weapon in the whole mission and there's no reason to delete the cars if they are underwater (because the player can't see them anyway). But that's only my theory

That can't be it because in DYOM "intractable" cars with objectives (get in, destroy etc.) are classed as Objectives, which unlike normal objects (cars, peds, props) can't be hidden or deleted. So Josh's assumption that he would be able to just explode it was correct. What perhaps could have caused it would have been some fork of DYOM that had code that would require the car to be destroyed in water, and when it isn't, it tries to call a fail message but can't because DYOM 8.1 (the last official version) doesn't support it. But idk
