For everyone wondering. When it comes to luxury stationery Fountain pens, or pencils. this is what you are paying for 1. The materials. A Lot of the time expensive stationary is made out of expensive materials. The pencil encasing is $425, the pencil is around $10 (it is an amazing pencil and worth it to try once) 2. The labor involved, when it comes to expensive stationary a lot of the time things are hand made. These people take a lot of time developing their craft so you can't expect them to be payed minimum wage for their hours upon hours taken to make these. 3. The brand, these brands have been around for hundreds of years creating the best of the best. Their years of expertise comes at a cost

This pencil is Graf-Von Faber-Castell's. Extremely expensive, But Faber-Castell Perfect pencils are reasonable prices. Under $12. The differences between Two Company is the material in use, The image of brands.

This Perfect Pencil is highly desirable though the television presenter didn't seem to appreciate the quality. I have this same pencil, it is manificent though did not pay nearly so much. People should shop around, for they can a lot less than $425 bucks and mine is the silver version, my sister owning the platimum plated perfect pencil, it's no less worthy. You are looking a lot of quality manufacturing here. Each pen is hand assembled and is going to last years and give enormous satisfaction to it user. It all depends on what values one has. This pencil is not for everyone.

It's not just about the pencil. It's about the making and the processing and the meaning behind it. It's in honour of mainly Faber Castell Generations and each one is hand made and made precisely to the point. Von Faber. Not just a pretty thing. Not just an amazing tool.

You’d never lose something you pay that much for.... it’ll stay with you for a long time and almost have some sentiment to it. And if course who doesn’t want to show off?
@n506higo8 жыл бұрын
I bought a platinum coated version and was satisfied with its concept and quality. But I'm afraid of losing it I rarely use it outside home. When I want to bring it to work, which is rare, I take special caution not to lose it. The extender is small, heavy compared to the wood cased pencil, and seems easily to slip away from my pocket. When the pencil is long, you can't use the clip in a small pocket. The small canvas bag that comes with the pencil is helpful to carry it.

3:00 You get a much sharper point with a mechanical pencil. What the hell is he talking about?
@endezeichengrimm8 жыл бұрын
***** Mechanicals are sharper than any woodcase pencil, and they stay at the same sharpness (0.3mm, 0.5mm etc....) I use woodcase for thicker lines and larger drawings, but for super fine detail without sharpening ; mechanical wins.
