Hi Dan, first off, love the Sunday Morning Show👍 I think the big draw for me personally are the course vlogs and videos with Paul, Bernie,Gilly and Joe the Pro. The playing quality it’s top notch and it’s only you and the Bryan Bros that have that selling point. Obviously you don’t have the weather all year and the lads all have their own lives going on, but they are the first ones I click on. Keep up the great work🙌🏻

Always enjoy your channel, you have a great team of characters. I especially enjoy the Sunday morning show. Tips for older golfers are always welcome. I've never had a fast swing 65 to 75 and not being tall dont have the distance. I know I should have lessons but find it difficult finding a professional that relays lessons in a way I can understand. I can watch your swing and see the important parts of the swing, especially your finish from the front camera views.

My dad always said red at night sailors’ delight, red in the morning sailors’ warning. Red tee game is so fun! We do it once a summer. That putter is definitely different, but effective! So nice to hear someone say you don’t need to keep changing! Journeyman KZbinr is a success Dan! Most of your subscribers, subscribed based on what you do, so why would you change that? I prefer when your tips come about organically during a round as they present themselves. Divot ASMR 😂 Looking forward to more Gilly!

That was a perfect analogy re your content views. I've been in business for 30+ years, and not all of my decisions have resulted in "tour wins," but we kept going and had some success on the way. You could give tips to random golfers at the clubs you go to for vlogs. Take 1 golfer out with you, and at different points on the course where he/ she has the most problems and give them a basic lesson/drill that would fix that one aspect. I think with the others that are with you it could be entertaining and informative, whilst not needing to be a separate endeavor. Anyway, love the Sunday show.

Always enjoy the Sunday morning show. In terms of the new style of putters coming out I would encourage everyone to try them, especially the LAB putters. Having been for a fitting a few months ago I can honestly say it has completely changed my putting. I always felt like I was fighting the putter face before which lead to having very low confidence especially on shorter putts. With the LAB putter I can feel it wanting to stay square and I pretty much start my putts on my intended start line every time now and the increased MOI really does help with off centre hits. I know they are expensive but they are less than a new driver and if they help you hole more putts it's well worth it.

Great point about the forward press with a 6 deg putter to try and get the putter back to what your use to. I naturally forward press before I pull the putter back ( TM Spider Tour) to keep my backstroke a lot more online and I may have to test this putter to see what that natural press forward does to the roll.

I’ve lost 10 yards basically so I’m interested in seeing your older golfer show. FYI I’m not entirely sure but I think they call that putter with the stripes “jail bird” because here in the States back in the day some jails and most prisons dressed the inmates in white and black striped clothes so they stood out if they escaped

Thanks for another great video. I first heard of playing two ball, worse ball when I heard Payne Stewart tell his Pro Am partners of this game back in the early 80's. It's my go to practice when playing alone. What it teaches you is, is to follow one good shot with another good shot. Continue this until you hole out. Don't get discouraged, he even said it was hard for him to break par. Tip, carry three balls with you to save steps or unnecessary driving around.

I got talked into going for a LAB fitting.. keeping an open mind I ended up in a 36 counterbalanced DF03… and must say while I originally found it ugly I am so impressed by the feel and consistency I have found that I am looking forward to next season.. sometimes it’s just worth trying something new.. 💥💥💥

I had written a lengthy rant about September 11th as compared to December 7th in this very Comments field. I vehemently believe that the topic of Saudi Arabian Money vis-a-vis Golf is not a conversation that deserves to be quarantined, or relegated, to the political stage alone. And now I've deleted it. I have not tuned in to a single minute of televised professional (Tour) golf in the past year. #TrueStory Great content as always, Dan. Entertaining and thought-provoking, even if certain cultural norms stifle one's ability to parlay that thought into conversation.

Dan, keep doing what you're doing. If you want to add a new feature then I agree help for older golfers would be good. There are several high profile KZbinrs coaching technique (Danny Maude, Sean Clements etc). If there is a gap maybe it's around course management - taking a high handicap golfer and instead of changing their swing help them think about managing the course with their current shot shape, distance, chipping ability etc.
@alistairwilson308411 күн бұрын
I like the videos you’ve done where you or others talk through the shot you’re playing I really liked the recent video with Gilly just because of him verbalising his shot Maybe “how to play golf” rather than how to swing the club is your niche?

Morning Dan. Cheeky feel to the SMS this morning. Love it. Was wondering how those new odyssey putters differ from the old toe ups they released years ago which Joe the pro still uses. TSMS doesn’t go into my ‘Watch Later’ list like all other vids across all subbed channels, golf vlogs included. TSMS is almost like ‘Golf News’ for me. Perhaps ‘Channel and Golf News’ and hence gets watched immediately, or at least DURING the Sunday. Cold OJ (don’t drink coffee) and switch off for 20 mins or so. And the vlogs are beer, nuts and a Friday evening viewing. For me a perfect balance, so excellent to hear that you don’t necessarily feel the need to change the model because you know the growth will come over time. Need to take another look at the shop, too.

I noticed immediately that you had decided to play from the red/forward tees and you explained your reasoning. Many golfers seem unaware that recreational golf can be played from their tee of choice and it is in competition rounds that 'the committee' determine which tees that specific competition should be played from. As a guide, if you multiply the distance you hit a 5 iron and then multiply by 36, this will determine the length of course you will enjoy most. For example if you hit a 5 iron 150yds, then a course of 5,400 yards is your ideal! In my club this is the length of the red/forward tees course. Too many golfers play from tees that can harm their enjoyment levels. Individuals' World Handicap Index are adjusted + or - depending which tee they play from, it all works well. At my club, ladies and seniors play jointly in competitions and seniors are permitted 'by the committee' to chose which tee they elect to play from and register this in the competition computer before going out. So despite players using different tees in the same competition, there has been no significance in end point scoring. Those electing to play from red/forward tees, including myself report, less lost balls, speedier play, and fewer visits to the long grass and consequently more enjoyment!

I don’t buy in to the latest new club deal (unbelievably obscene prices) I like to look at the last year or previous years clubs,,,, until I tried the new square to square putter, for me and for my putting a total game changer and considerably cheaper than some other low torque/zero torque putters.

Golf balls - a few years ago Callaway came out with a low compression ball called the super soft. It was meant for the slower swing speeds. It offered distance and durability. In point of fact the slower swinger got the more driver distance than they would have out of Chrome Soft. Where the supersoft doesn't do very well is stopping. It just doesn't offer any spin/check off the wedges. Erc soft tri line are urethane I believe 3 piece and are better suited to swing speeds above 85 mph. I have tried them and I find them ok. I like control personally and they do offer some but for me not enough. Golf balls are about choice, price and performance. I expect everyone wants to play Prov1, TP5, Chrome Tour etc but at circa £4 per ball smashing one into the water hazard isn't a good look and losing a couple per round isn't a good feeling. From what I noticed with ERC Soft and from watching you on lots of videos I doubt you will want to use it long term. They do bounce a bit. Grab a couple of dozen Chrome Tour. You will like em, but be warned they are circa £50 so best pay cash as the Mrs might have something to say 😂. Happy Wife = Happy Life. Great show
