I completely approve with your Shep refusing to be Sha'ira's errand girl. This game has enough sidequests anyway, the small amount of XP you get doesn't really matter unless you're a completionist. I think it's much nicer to roleplay and turn some quests down because they're beneath the mighty commander.

18:38 I'll add the C&C and Red Alert Remasters to that pile. If we include remakes, the list gets huge. 46:57 I wish more games would just let you buy a drink. 56:37 I love that "So would I" keeps popping up. Like Shep's just going "You aren't getting this, are you?" 1:13:40 That was way funnier than I was expecting. 1:15:38 "I don't wanna say he's racist, but..." 1:15:50 My biggest problem with ME. "You are not good/bad enough to pick this option. So we'll just dangle it in front of you instead of offering a 'medium' choice." 1:36:25 Wrex! 1:40:51 I see nothing wrong with shooting surrendering slavers. 1:43:33 Begone, demon! 1:43:47 An *adoring* fan, one might say. 1:50:33 My team was Tali/Ashley and Wrex, unless I needed specifically biotic/tech for something. 1:58:38 Same. Wrex replaced Kaiden, and Tali partially replaced Ashley, though I still talked to and Ashley a bunch and had her in the party instead of Wrex sometimes. 2:13:32 I remember being mad you couldn't romance Tali. 2:20:27 At least it's not literally "You may not resolve this quest", though I wish abandoning it was an option. 2:27:39 I do still agree with Udina, they could 100% cordon off the Traverse and at least hinder Saren's movement... yet they choose to do nothing on that front.

From someone who's only played ME2 and 3 it's refreshing to see a ME game where no one treats you like the space messiah, much less knows who you are before you tell them.

10:08 I literally just started watching Babylon 5 for the first time like two days ago. I'm only about five episodes deep and can see why it's so highly regarded, writing is quite good. I'm more surprised I've somehow never seen it, just about every other sci-fi show of the 90s- early 00s I saw plenty of growing up.

On one hand... you are absolutely correct that usually induction is at least quiet... however it has become very, very common for countries to make a big deal out of "the first" to do something. On the other... it's a terrible idea except for recruiting.

So, I think this was in one of the Trump towers, they had installed a brand new elevator system. Safest and fastest elevators built up to that point. After about a month everybody started complaining the elevators were extremely slow. So they brought in the engineers. The engineers did some diagnostics, ran some tests, and made some adjustments but for the most part everything was working perfectly. Yet some how they still had complaints about how slow the elevators were. Eventually they solved the problem. They put a mirror inside the elevator. It distracted everyone using it and made them think the elevators were working faster. This solution is the same reason the sprint button doesn't make you go faster. As an added bonus fact the close door and open door buttons on an elevator are for the exact same reason, they don't do anything. Just like the crossing buttons on traffic lights for pedestrians. All of these things are psychological tricks.

Head cannon - It wasn't social media in of itself that led to its ban it was the extremes of meme-ery that it facilitated, it only got worse and threatened all of humanity.

If humanity had united as a species under a single political entity and re-contextualized itself as just one space faring species amongst many - a question like, “describe human culture” would be easier to answer.
@CrazyxEnigma3 ай бұрын
Would it? It's difficult for me to fathom a united humanity becoming homogeneous enough that it's a simple answer. Coming together despite many differences is a common theme in sci-fi instead of discarding the uniqueness of the many different cultures of both humans and the different alien species.
@C.M.19963 ай бұрын
@@CrazyxEnigma mhmm and that’s what the answer would be. “For thousands of years we were deeply divided along national lines, but in recent centuries we’ve united over (whatever the shared values of the interstellar government are), and now pride ourselves on our perseverance through adversity and the depth of our varied cultural histories.”
