Seen a few questions regarding sponsorship on this one, I was also a bit curious so did a little digging. Not quite sure the deal regarding Virgin, but the 'Parliament' in question aren't the cigarette brand. They're a VFX company based in the US who also sponsor Barnsley, I presume that's also who 'Phil' is; Phil Crowe is one of the founders of Parliament & a lifelong Barnsley fan before moving to the States. Good on Danny for finding a backer with a genuine interest in their home town. Look forward to seeing more of the adventure

I thought Danny was the common man, as a working class lad myself, someone who I could identify with. With the current cost of living crisis in the UK, rising fuel bills and inflation nearly 10%, when millions of people have to make daily decisions about whether to eat or heat their homes, someone who I thought was one of us, a regular working class lad from Yorkshire, eats in fancy London restaurants and takes trips to the USA in first class. I don't begrudge you your success for one minute - well done - but at a time with things are financially difficult for most, if not all, of your subscribers, you don't have to rub it in our working class faces! I think all this KZbin money and adulation is making Danny bigheaded. Don't forget where you came from Danny. I used to be regular subscriber to his channel, sorry, you've lost me. I'm out.

He's become quite full of himself recently which I didn't see during the early days of Rate My Takeaway. In the early days, there was something quite quirky about a working class northern guy driving around in a family car visiting back street takeaway vendors. Someone I could relate to. Now we have the brand new VW transporter van; eating steak meals in London restaurants; flying first class to New York, spending £50 on takeaway meals. The channel isn't what pulled me in the the first place. It's changed. It's not for me now.
